He's also comfortable using both feet, his close control is exceptional, so he creates a lot of space by shifting the ball. He knows when to hold onto the ball and when to release it.

Great result for us, lessens the damage from today.

I think sometimes when Bruno gets pressed off the ball he feels he needs to prove something. As other have said we are better leaving him upfield where he can be adventurous without losing the ball and putting us in immediate danger, his little dinks and flicks are his trademark, but he can't use them as readily when he's so deep.

So just precautionary with a bit luck.

I'd imagine Bruno will have a few bruises on his legs tomorrow, absolutely battered all game, ref gave 0 protection. When they started showing highlights of the Bournemouth press after the game it was just foul after foul, even the player they interviewed acknowledged he needed to ref to be lenient for their style to work.

Which on our day we are fully capable of beating. If we'd started well, it would have made Bournemouth more hesitant about pushing so far forward, but our passing was way off and they bullied Bruno off the ball. Tonali really showed his level today, that man doesn't get bullied by anyone.

Said we looked tired, wasn't happy from the start. Bournemouth pressed well and it disrupted our play. Hinted at the fact they were as good as we were bad. Didn't blame anyone, didn't blame the ref, but recognised we weren't good enough. Again respectful and classy as you'd expect.
