Met him once for a drink, conversed with him regularly over MSN Messenger and as I lived 10 miles down the road I went to his funeral. Just tremendously sad all round. And good call about the thread in the chat forum - all joking aside and many of us have taken the piss out of each other for the better part of 20 years, it's always good to talk.

In the same manner players shouldn't ham it up. We absolutely stood a better chance of getting a penalty had he not done that. But as usual, factions of our support base will continue to defend him come what may. As I said, he's his own worst enemy.

TBH I think a lot of the carefree aspect went when Gejon (wasn't he Cajun on here?) died. I personally found it a massive wake up call that life wasn't always as rosy as we thought it was.

TBH I haven't had anything to do with Toontastic now for 10 years. I packed up in about May 2012 when my job started to get a bit more serious. Since then it's had facelifts and updates and never seems to have retained the ethos of those early days.
