  1. Ah well, that’s that. I still think France will win it, but would love to see a new name on it England huffed and puffed, they just look a bit toothless to me. Pisspoor defending for the winner didn’t help either mind. They did show how to deal with Mbappe England’s record of losing to the first decent side they play continues unabated - though I suspect that’s pretty much it for my lifetime re England’s chances of winning it. This generation has been wasted on the true face of middle class middle England - small ‘c’ conservatives who like making sad faces at bad things - embodied in the manager. Too timid, too defensive, too late More importantly, Eddie’s WC mags all come home uninjured
  2. Not sure it’s a bottle issue necessarily - usually it’s a quality issue. This England side is technically capable though - they’ve been powderpuff up top here so far
  3. Like the scorpion, he can’t help it, it’s in his nature
  4. Well taken that. Hate when it takes forever - anxiety levels always rise
  5. Agreed on Saka, but the foul is outside the box so VAR can’t bring it back
  6. He’s a water carrier, nothing more. Laughable the way the WHU-loving cockney press go on about him.
  7. Thank fuck for that. Time for more caffeine - the perfect antidote to Southgate’s brand of football Honestly, if it was a ruddy-cheeked PFM playing this shite everyone would be up in arms He’s got to get Henderson off and some attacking intent on. They need to stop standing off the ball and start pressing France into mistakes. They’re taking far too long to move the ball, and they’re not moving themselves. Saka needs to learn that running at four defenders who are stood in front of you is unlikely to reap rewards. And if Harry Kane wants to be a midfielder, then he needs to put an actual centre forward on.
  8. Shite would be my answer Southgate can’t help himself. Low intensity sidewards passing shite
  9. Nothing wrong with complaining about that fucking band mate
  10. The inconsistency of refs is exacerbated at WCs. From the card happy loon yesterday to one today who apparently needs to see blood before a card is shown. Saka needs to learn to stay on his feet mind
  11. Looked outside the box to me - and they won’t give a FK via VAR
  12. And it would be weird. Like Darlington taking the piss out of Newcastle
  13. Some strike that. But some of England’s play reflects the manager as per. The square balls need to be knocked on the fucking head.
  14. The lyrics are what the Americans really wanted in theirs. But not in French, obvs
  15. Nice cup of tea in hand for some breakfast football I think France will win like, but who knows
  16. Just woke up and saw the score - I had to get one QF result right , delighted for them
  17. I saw one on there where they were arguing about something being a ‘stereotype’ without being ‘racist’. This being about singing about the size of a black player’s penis. It’s a classic thick-headed response to being called out - and a complete failure to understand that the attribution of characteristics or traits based upon skin colour is the dictionary definition of racism. It is also why it is a waste of time arguing it - they refuse to understand what the word enough means while denying that they are it.
  18. Aye, it would be nice to play their first team in a cup where we don’t have to play our U-21 side
  19. The last NUFC top I bought was a LS one (from Toffs in the early ‘00s). I do like a long sleeve football top
  20. He’s a odd young lad who doesn’t know his arse from his elbow tbf - he’s never gave me the impression of being a particularly deep thinker, bless him. He does appear to achieved a level of self-awareness from what I gather, which I hope is the case; I’d be genuinely worried if he wasn’t aware that so many are laughing at him.
  21. Yep, France are head and shoulders above the rest, comfortably. I just hope Southgate has instructed Saka and Foden - assuming they start - to close Lloris constantly, and apply as much pressure as possible. I absolutely agree that he’s the weak point in that side. I’m struggling to see how that England back line copes with what France has, though. There’s a hell of a lot of quality in that side even without Mbappe.
  22. I’d make the winners of France vs England favourites, but any of the remaining teams would still be tough for England.
