If only we had a quarter of a billion to spend - we surely could’ve brought in FB cover -

Probably bearable option these days without Mick Lows’ screeching -

No danger of that happening near to Ramsdale, the lad likes being rooted to a spot -

I’d assumed it was a worry about him getting injured, not his performance -
Not in terms of running the organisation - and again, I’d suggest organising commercial deals for the biggest ice hockey club in Canada’s biggest city is akin to organising commercial deals for Real Madrid. You’re not building, you’re accepting.

Fucking Ho’way yaaaaniitiiiiiiid -
Definitely - we’re not hiring muppets anymore. I don’t doubt Hopkinson is a capable bloke.

Less than two years at Madison Square Garden isn’t the resume of a ‘best in class’ sports club CEO. He might well prove to be the best person out there and be very successful, but no-one can look at his CV and state he is a best-in-class appointment.
-
He might prove to be excellent in the job, but not only is he not ‘in best in class territory’, we have no proof of anything he’s got in the role as he’s never been a CEO before.
-
Happily we learned our lesson; that a big, slow centre forward who is deceptively good with the ball at his feet will probably be good elsewhere but doesn’t fit into our system
-
It’s not normal to not sign a single player in three successive January windows. I’m guessing we are the only PL club to do that.
-
We’ve been shite sellers for some time. You sell at peak value under PSR to move on.
-
I still think he was bought for precisely tha purpose. Part of the issue is that he’s the only one we’ve done it with - Chelsea in particular has done this really well over the years.
-
Yeah, 100%. The frustrating part is that we have done that a few times this season and fell away. But we are capable of doing it - hopefully this being a cup match will focus minds. Howe’s record in cup competitions at NUFC is close to being incredible (hopefully this year he can fix the FA Cup issues from previous years).
-
There’s a part of me that thinks we have a chance if: 1) Man City play a weakened side and / or have their foot off the pedal 2) we come out of the traps in that we that the best NUFC Howe sides can and hit them with a really early goal The second one is the most important for me. Just get into them early doors and have a proper go. Worry about keeping it tight later
-
He was worth it just to stop Burnley from scoring goals at the time. We couldn’t have known then that we’d finish mid-table.

Patrick Zabi set to sign for Paris FC next season

If true, again we have ask what due diligence is being done on these transfers - the lad wants to stay in France (reasonable), but how are we not aware of this before we’re negotiating? It’s fucking amateur hour stuff if this is the case. Granted, ‘if’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. -

£22m seems pretty high for a prospect from the French second tier to me -

I’d add a RW to that - but yeah, that’s about right.
