I have never said otherwise.

What I would say is that I wouldn't turn my back on Sunderland if they has KSA / State ownership but I wouldn't be overly proud about it.

You do realise that's how the loan market has always worked? FWIW we loaned Clarke in League One who was never a league one player and then made him permanent in the Championship, It was astute business in hindsight. We wouldn't ever get Diallo permanently, but if we go up it allows us to 'shop' in a better market than a Championship one. We would also possibly have the opportunity to loan Diallo again who would be playing at a higher level which would suit Man United if they wanted him to get further experience. You can slag Sunderland off for a lot of things but the recruitment in the last 18 months has been fantastic with a clear blueprint of how the club will look to operate moving forward.
-
That's simply not true, Diallo is brilliant and he's one of the loanees but not sure which other loanees you are referring to.

Forums generally bring out the absolute worst of a fanbase, I would say 50% of the SMB are complete knackers who don't represent the fanbase in the slightest. The same on here mind, I have seen some outrageously embarrassing posts about Sunderland from Newcastle fans. Some of my best mates are Mags, One side of my family are Newcastle season ticket holders.

A good season would probably be midtable but the league is so tight it makes you believe you can possibly squeeze a play-off spot. I think the new recruitment team and model would stick to what has proved so successful over the last 18 months and wouldn't jump to spending tons of money in fees and wages on players should we go back up. It would more than likely result is an immediate relegation but we would pocket the parachute payments to continue to grow other areas of the club which should benefit us in the long run. The only other possible outcome if we went up is further investment from a Dreyfus family member or associate if they wanted to give the league a go by staying up.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the weekends results, hence why I never mentioned anything to do with them directly. If that's what you want to believe though, that's your choice.
-
To be fair I tried that last time and you end up getting nowt but shite.

Hope he doesn't give up his day job.

I mean, that is absolutely the opposite of a 'fact' but hey ho..

It’s probably why no Sunderland fan sticks around on here to have a reasoned debate. Seems its impossible without people jumping down your throat despite being honest and realistic. I will let you’s get on with it.

I said I see us as a lower end Premiership club that should be around 14th-17th. I said at best, we should aim top 10. If your finishing 14th-17th I am pretty sure any club would have an ambition to somehow get into the top 10 at best, an aim is different to reality which is what i clearly stated. We have had 3, top 10 finishes since the Premiership started. We have finished between 11th and 17th on 11 occasions since the Premiership started. I dont think I am being completely unreasonable in my suggestions

I suggest you re-read my post.

A lower end Premier League club (14th-17th) that should be aiming at best to get into the Top 10. The reality of that however is miles away due to years and years of mistakes and mismanagement, We are currently where we deserve to be.

Stupid questions get stupid replies

Terrified of them, I lie awake worrying about it.

I would hope that the two stooges finally jack it in and sell the shares, Dreyfus has indicated he is happy to buy them out but it has to be realistic. If Dreyfus wants to invest heavily into the squad, they would need to put their 'share' in and I simply don't think they can afford it so it forces their hand to sell. KLD apparently has an agreement in place (Which was openely discussed at a meeting between a supporters group & Dreyfus) that he has full control of decision making regardless of share ownership. I think the squad needs significant investment, It doesn't neceserially mean ploughing money at it but it means recruiting correctly, There will be bargains to be had as Championship clubs are struggling financially. There has already been quite a few 'big name' Championship players told that they won't be getting new deals at existing clubs and therefore released. I understand from reading this thread that people believe the gap to L1 to Championship is huge, but I honestly don't think it is. We are in a unique position whereby teams come to the SOL and don't even look to attack, making every home game an absolute struggle to get through, likewise all away games are tough as we are a scalp at this level. I would hope that if we do go up, We would be fine. I don't think we would be pulling up any trees mind and I don't think we will build a squad capable of challenging for promotion but it's all ifs and buts.

Well it's a bit of a bollocks question, Isn't it? How do I feel about something that might or might not hypothetically happen
-
Alex Pritchard, Danny Batth, obviously Defoe. I would imagine Newcastle have came across Patrick Roberts before.
-
It appears they do generally merge all NUFC threads into one where possible.
-
They signed this season, so had no part to play in the seasons prior to this one.

Unfortunatley I don't control the forum and how it operates, mate.

We have players in our squad who have played against Newcastle in both the Premiership and Championship. I'm not really sure what relevance it has in anything that you 'might not know our players'
