    England

England is a squad of good guys; Southgate is a wimp.
  2. What pissed me off the most was watching Sissoko up and down the country half arse it, the have to watch him play in the Euro Final.
  3. Demba Ba's peak was at Newcastle. Him/his agent wanted more money at Chelsea, and look how his career went. Good on him for earning money, but he was never better than at Newcastle. I mentioned Mitro, and Thauvin. Mbemba was good. Happy to see he's playing at high level, but he was never that special.
  4. I respect, and understand the concept. Good on you, but Ajax are still going to ahead of you. David Moyes has got the Dildo Bros. edging Champions League. If Mark Noble can further that; the greater the climb, the higher the fall. No club I want out from the Premier League quicker is West Ham. Can't wait to see the Olympic Stadium host 20,500.
  5. I was one of those shouting "You're not to fit to where the shirt". His responce was to feign injury, roll 5 yards to get off the field, then be subbed off. *In same game - was FA Cup away Watford - all I saw was Siem de Jong not run, clearly injured - but pointed, shouted; yet always passes to someone in a Newcastle shirt.
  6. Mikel Merino's thread still being alive is only a compliment to how good we saw him as a player. Who are the players that have been of such quality, but never stayed long enough? My vote is - Woodgate 2nd - Thauvin 3rd - Mitro
  7. I used to be one of the sad kids that made videos of players when I was a kid. I had countless Cabaye channels taken down. Illarramendi could have been the next Alonso/Busquets - but he had no mobility and no fitness. I always expected to see Merino at Barcelona. It was obvious he wouldn't stay here long. Now we all get older, we understand the world more.
  8. Best midfielder since since Cabaye, best midfielder up to Bruno. Honestly think he was homesick after going to Dortmund; Rafa offered him half-and-half with him him at Newcastle, but this kid needed to be in Spain. I've worked with enough Basque people, to know that money isn't everything - happiness and life is. Same rule could be put to Asier Illarramendi; Sociedad-Madrid-Soceidad. Countless Basque players, either never quit playing for Athletic or Sociedad, or return back. Their loyalty to their region is something I've never seen.
  9. Why would EH, JT, and fitness coaches disclose data to Journo? They say you're only the strongest, as the weakest in your team. If people are watching likes of Adam P, then reading Chronicle. God help all realms.
  10. Fraser never went on strike. Given his position, I respect his call - especially how his relationship remained in tact with Howe. Honestly, no contract from Bournemouth, and the Covid situation at the time; I would have never played for Bournemouth again. The risk is too high, within seconds he could have a leg snapped. You tell me what you'd do given that situation - risk losing losing millions when you needn't bother, or hold out for a new contract. Clinton Morrison hung out the back Bruce's daughter. His solution was to sell his top goalscorer. I'll still value Ritchie, Fraser and Wilson all the while Howe is here.
  11. Considering the position we are in now, Jonjo Shelvey should be nothing more than a mascot. Rafa brought Shelvey in, Eddie brought Bruno in. He was given an extended contract under Ashley. Not one Premier League club would take Shelvey right now. I've never liked him, and never will.
  12. Embarrassing really. Ronaldo/Zlatan are still forcing a career in the game. EPIC SKILLS CHALLENGE = get to fuck I
  13. Rather McTominay than Shelvey. McTominay can actually run, track back, and pass a ball to someone in the same shirt. Jonjo was at his best in the Championship. He was a Championship Zidane. He can't be relied on to provide any consistent level of performance. He can strike a ball, yes, ping a pass yes - play CM in the Premier League, I'd say no.

Need to respect the fact that certain players playing together consistently builds something stronger. That's Southgate's single redeeming feature for me. If England are ever going to actually win anything, we need to build a core of players to build a team around - like you would want at club level. Southgate is half way, but in my opinion the manager/coach to do this. Example, playing Trippier left back. He wants Tripps in the squad, as he's obviously good for the team and won't let the side down, but Trippier isn't and never will be a left back; doing so strangles you're whole game - even a side like Andorra can cut off your build up play when you have a right footed left back. It's clear to see we've talented players, but I've no trust in Southgate to actually have 11 men on a field and win when it counts. It's always been laughable to me that we even hired Southgate. Other countries want to hire their best, or hire proven winners - Del Bosque/Spain, Scolari/Brazil-Portugal. We've a bloke who relegated boro.
