  1. Could try McGlynns around the corner on Willesden Lane. No idea of the fan mix, but their prices will be around 4 a pint, as opposed to 6.
  2. An Irish pub in Willesden has announced it will be a Newcastle venue on the day. Offering complimentary stew too. May be an option if you're in NW London https://www.facebook.com/mcgoverns.willesden/
  3. I don't live too far from there. From what I've seen of other cup days, you won't find it hard to latch onto fellow fans in the area. As mentioned there is the Globe opposite the Baker Street station, but it will be packed. There is another smaller pub also called the Globe on Lisson Grove (next to Marylebone station). This is also likely to be rammed full, despite its higher prices (specialises in craft ales). A couple of pubs worth seeking out if you want the chance of a seat are the Thornbury Castle and the Chapel (does tend to open up late though). Still suspect they'll be busy on the day. There is a pub on Balcombe Street (between Marylebone and Baker Street) that is good, but it tends to have restricted entry on cup days. Also a couple of places in Marylebone station itself, but always a heavy police presence on such occasions. You may already know this, but it's a lot quicker going to Wembley with the train from Marylebone (10 minutes) than taking the tube, you just have to watch the frequency timings.
  4. This may need verifying, but the last time I passed by this pub they'd stopped showing football on the box.
  5. Thanks for the sentiment, but too many players seem to be a shadow of their former selves (Castagne, NDidi, Vardy) and the fans seem bemused by manager selections (no idea why Iheanacho rarely gets the nod). Reminds me a bit of your Brucie days (sorry to bring back painful memories).
  6. Who knows what is said behind the scenes, but I can't see Madders wanting to stay at a club that is battling relegation (or worse getting relegated). So my guess is that if a top half club makes a bid in the summer, he'll be off, maybe even in this window. But it is just a guess, I don't know what goes on with contract negotiations, agents' advice etc.
  7. The fan base are kind of puzzled ourselves. But we've got the Fofana money, plus it seems (?) that certain players like Soyuncu, Perez and Praet are heading out.
  8. Leicester intruder here (impressed by most posters here, not as biased as I thought).. He's a great player, but be warned, he'll never be fit all season. So long as you accept there'll be 8-10 games a season when he's out, and a couple more games when he's below par, then he'll be a decent buy. I suppose you're in the position now to build up a stronger squad, so can rotate accordingly. I hope you don't sign him this window, he may be the difference for us between survival and relegation.
