  1. This is tragically true...and it's something we can't get used to !! Camarda, 17, currently on loan at Lecce, scored hundreds of goals for AC Milan's youth teams as a kid; last year he scored a beautiful goal in the Champions League against Bruges (unfortunately it was offside). It might be a bit risky to sign him now. The real deal however is Ahanor (Atalanta, also 17), born in Italy to Nigerian parents...in two years Liverpool or Real Madrid will notice him and sign him for €100 million. He's a star, trust me...he can play anywhere on the left flank and even as a CB. Him and Leoni will be absolute stars in the Italian national team.
  2. I come with Leao....after lunch Leao stays in Newcastle and I go back to Milano with Sandro.
  3. Carbonara for you, Pan Haggerty for me....
  4. Sandro come home, Modric is waiting for you... jokes aside, build a strong team around him and he'll stay with you until he's 30. But then he'll come back to Milano, okay?
  5. I agree with what you're saying. What I meant was that Wolt's acquisition might not have been the prospect Howe was really looking for (Ekitike sure was)... let's be clear, Wolt isn't a second choice (in terms of value) but at that point in the transfer market it was an obligatory choice. Similar thing happened to us (or even worse): we searched for a striker all summer, and then (when time ran out) we bought Nkunku ... who wasn't what we needed.
  6. Now he will tell you that you have True Faith syndrome...
  7. Jesus Christ....you really hate me, huh?
  8. I'm not sure about this at all. Wolt is the exact opposite of Isaak, in my opinion.
  9. Given that Wolt is a great player, no doubt about that, I think Howe would have accepted any striker on the last available transfer window.
  10. I think the club's intention was to sign a strong 9 (a pure 9) and pair him with Wissa, who could also replace him in a 4-3-3. With Wolt, you've signed an excellent player who has the qualities of a 10 rather than a 9.
  11. They worked on finding replacements.... in july.
  12. Who do you think is the natural replacement for Isaak? Wissa or Wolt?
  13. I don't know... when a player wants to leave there's very little you can do. Players and agents have too much power in modern football.
  14. I think the club knew for a long time that Isaak would leave, they had months to find a replacement. I don't think Wissa was the natural replacement for Isaak (he has now become, maybe), and I think Wolt was the only viable option (the transfer window was closing) but not with the characteristics Howe wanted.
  15. Im wrong about 20 sorry, but you took it for 35+5...but that's not the point.
  16. The first four are all my personal opinions, and if you dispute them I won't be offended...don't worry. The one about Bruno is a fact.
  17. Allegri decided to keep him after his good performances in pre-season... in may we all knew that Thiaw would leave.
  18. No, no...it's not about the player's quality...precisely because you had been following him for a long time, you acted badly. He had been sold to Como for 20 at the beginning of July, he refused the transfer and you took him for 40 a month later. That month's delay cost you 20 million more.
  19. Me ? It's just an outsider opinion, no need to get upset.
  20. I couldn't agree more... the handling of the Isaak case, the timing of the Thiaw purchase, the expensive acquisition of Elanga ( I know very little about him but clearly he doesn't have Howe's trust), and the purchase of Wolt (who I like a lot) the last day and who has nothing to do with your 4-3-3... that's why I also believe your recruitment was a disaster. I don't know if Wissa will be used as a winger or a striker but in both cases Howe will have a problem if he doesn't change his setup. I think the best solution might be a 4-4-1-1 with Wolt behind Wissa. The midfield suffered a lot yesterday, with Bruno and Joe in form you would have no problems but both (especially Bruno) have been awful since the start of the season... perhaps a 4-man midfield would help them and the team.
  21. I think that given the affection you ( Club and fans) showed him during his ban, it will be difficult for him to leave Newcastle. Given the type of guy he is, he will only leave Newcastle if he sees the club can't build a competitive team... it's not a question of more money (Sandro isn't like that piece of shit Donnarumma) but of the chance to fight for something important. Last season you had a good team and an excellent coach, but I'm not sure the "transfer market" team have done their job well this summer.
  22. Bennacer could be an excellent solution for you... he can replace both Bruno and Tonali, he's cheap and to play in the Premier League I think he's willing to reduce his salary which is not very high anyway.
