  1. Meanwhile: https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Juventus/07-08-2025/juve-su-tonali-con-vlahovic-al-newcastle-i-dettagli-della-trattativa.shtml Basically, Juve want to offer Vlahovic + Douglas Luiz (or Savona) + cash for Tonali. The article says there's no bid yet and that Newcastle dont want to sell him and anyway Sandro is happy in England. According to the Gazzetta, it's a negotiation that's unlikely to go well...more like a desperate attempt by Juventus.
  2. Of course not. And City made another great deal with Reijnders.
  3. The Premier League has been buying players above their market value for years. In Bergamo they're still laughing at the 70+10 that Manchester Utd paid for Hojlund...
  4. I hope so but I don't believe it...the bastards at Inter want him more than us. Absolutely, he wants the Premier League...and Milan also prefers to sell him abroad. Thiaw percentages: Newcastle 75%, Milan 20%, Juve 5%.
  5. In Italy he did very well with Fiorentina, very bad with Juve... his contract expires in 2026, he has a very high salary but you can get him for 20/25.
  6. Italian source here...The club wants to sell him, Allegri doesn't. Thiaw will go to Newcastle only if Milan finds another CB...it could be tomorrow or in a week. The player wants Newcastle, but he also knows that by staying at Milan he'd be a starter with Allegri...that's why he's not fighting with the club. Juventus also want Thiaw to exchange him for Vlahovic but he prefers Premiere League.
  7. Yes, Scalvini and Bastoni are the only italians defenders worth that amount.
  8. Scalvini is an excellent central defender and can easily play as 6 or 8 as well. He's valued €40 million, but Atalanta certainly won't sell him at that price. I repeat, Leoni is the only truly excellent player available at a fair price... he's currently less talented than Scalvini, but he's only 18, and his price is set to rise significantly in the next two or three years.
  9. I wrote to Howe a year ago recommending Ricci, and three months ago I wrote again recommending Leoni...no response!!! Today he asked me if he could use bacon instead of guanciale in the carbonara... "Jesus Christ, Eddie, no...only guanciale!!!!"
  10. Seriously...for me it's crazy to spend 30 on Thiaw when with 35 you can get Leoni (Parma), who is 18 years old and has HUGE potential for the future. This kid at 18 is already better than Thiaw and can only get better.
  11. The problem is that he's tactically stupid. I've been going to San Siro since '82, and only Luther Blissett has been treated worse by 80,000 fans... Anyway, the Premier League is a world apart. I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds or Crystal Palace signed him and he had an excellent season.
  12. Trust me....Musah, not Mensah, is an absolute disgrace. If you decide to buy him, I'll personally come to your house and I'll cook for you a fabulous carbonara.... for a month!!! I'll do it for all the 50,000 at St.James too.
  13. I've seen at least thirty Newcastle matches (nostalgia for Sandro) in two years and, in my opinion, Thiaw isn't an improvement for you. You need someone like Pavlovic, paired with Botman they would be the best defense in the Premier League !!!
  14. I don't know, Stipic is practically unknown in Italy. I have to say that Como offered Tiaw a salary of 4 million (he's getting one now) and he (Tiaw) refused. In a football world that is increasingly dominated by mercenaries, kudos to him.
  15. His first year at Milan was very good, then he lost confidence and even the coach's confidence... he's not bad, far from it, but he's not a player who changes the defense either. He's at his best when he's alongside a charismatic teammate who knows how to direct the defense, but he's certainly not a leader who directs his teammates. He's strong against physical players, very weak against technical players... his real value is €20 million, but it seems Allegri wants to keep him because he's functional for the three-man defense he has in mind. If Milan play a 4-3-3 (instead of a 3-4-3), he could easily leave for €20 million.
  16. Are you kidding? Premier IS and has been the pinnacle of European football for at least 25 years, just like Italy was between the 80s and 90s. In Italy, until a few years ago, they broadcast La Liga, Bundesliga and Premiere, and 9 out of 10 Italians only watched Premier. I'd rather watch Ipswich-Wolves than Real Madrid-Getafe.
  17. The important thing is that you do not lose Howe who is the true architect of your extraordinary season, despite some naivety he is an excellent coach. Rather I fear that you overvalue some players like Isaak who is a good player but not the phenomenon that I often read here.
  18. Yes but also consider that you have Botman out... who is by far your best defender.
  19. Cultural exchange...I have loved British football since the 80's and this year I have watched almost all of Newcastle's matches and you are very spectacular to watch. But please let Sandro take the free kicks, especially the ones from the left.
  20. It will never happen that he goes to Juve, he will return to us (Milan) at 30 years old, certainly not to Juve, or worse, to Inter. You should be afraid of Madrid or City, certainly not of Italian clubs.
  21. Franco Baresi more than Maldini. It may surprise you but Maldini had a terrible relationship with the ultras due to a couple of bad episodes... Baresi on the other hand is an absolute legend as well as being the strongest footballer to have ever worn our shirt in 125 years of history.
  22. Exactly...tactically the pass to Barnes was the right thing to do but also the most difficult.
  23. Me too. Lots of clashes now in Rome.
