Ornstein only ever used to report when a bid was in or a deal was agreed, but now he seems to be reporting "interest" such as Liverpool interest in Isak this week and our interest in Wissa now. Doesn't mean Ornstein is wrong by any stretch but it means there's less certainty of what he says actually happening.

Was reading a discussion between PSG fans recently where they all agreed they want to keep him and think he's great but acknowledge he deserves to go somewhere where he can play as a starter. Good sign. I don't think he's played as a second striker regularly but apparently has the right attributes to. Definitely has good link-up play with the midfield at PSG. Would be exciting to go for him.

If we haven't been in on the Ekitike action since Monday that hopefully means we've been working on another target since then.

The whole framing of this as "4d chess" and "poker" by Liverpool customers is quite amusing. They wanted Isak but can't get him, so they're moving on to Ekitike and will maybe outbid us for him. Happens a few hundred times per window. Not sure how it constitutes diabolical Machiavellian genius

Yeah, the actual Bild article just says it's us or no one because we're the only ones who've made an offer other than Saudi clubs (which Ekitike isn't interested in)

He was first to break the concrete offer for Ekitike yesterday, but he shit the bed on Liverpool buying Isak for 100m euros too. Could be that he has contacts with Eintract but is just regurgitating on the Isak stuff.

Definitely not reliable as a source on his own, although I think he was first to report we'd made a conrete bid the other day. Have to wait for others to confirm, but it's a start I suppose

The fact this is on Bild+, as opposed to Bild or Sportsbild, is apparently a good thing from what I've been reading. Seems they put the reliable info behind a paywall and the tabloidy stuff out for free on the other two sites.
