  1. Man Utd would be long gone without Fernandes. He singlehandedly saves them every other game. Including in Lyon.
  2. I think he’d have been delighted and surprised to sign for a champions league chasing side in any capacity given his record to date?
  3. Forest do have an easy run, but they are without some key attacking players now, have no experience of this kind of situation and their whole take-a-one-goal-lead-and-defend like-dogs approach is limited by nature. I think they’ll drop more points, though we’ll still have to be really on it to capitalise.
  4. Osula was a gamble. He’s never really scored anywhere and none of us would have picked him out of Sheffield United. He’s got some good attributes but he isn’t even that young. He seems really immature as a person and I have a hard time imagining him as a deep student of the game or someone Eddie can trust to carry out a tactical plan. Now maybe he can get a few sub appearances between now and the end of the season and demonstrate his growth but Wilson will remain second choice till the summer. I’m in the camp where Wilson has been improving somewhat with each sub appearance, he put in one delightful ball last night that someone should have gambled on. He’s not the Wilson of 2 years ago but he’s an infinitely better finisher than Will Osula and he may still pop up with a crucial goal before seasons end.
  5. Putting Sky sports out of business would massively hurt our bottom line no?
  6. Fair enough, maybe you’ve watched him more. He’s tasked with covering Kirkez when he bombs forward which leaves huge space for him to cover which he does really well from what I’ve seen.
  7. Reading the Huijsen piece this morning in The Athletic he sounds absolutely perfect for us. Fast, really tall, two footed, brave and progressive. Too bad there’s so much competition.
  8. The wide eyed desperation of the press and opposition fans to break up our cup winning side is palpable. Us getting into the champions league and strengthening again would sicken them. lets make sure it happens.
  9. Agreed. though I put that bit about no club being able to afford him to Ornstein and he responded “of course there is, it’s just whether they decide to go to those levels”. didnt mention who of course. Liverpool with their rebuild? Cant see it unless Saudi bail them out for Darwin? chelsea? Why would he go there. Arsenal? Think he’s gone beyond them now. City and Real are well stocked upfront. Which leaves only PSG with Barca skint.
  10. Ornstein reckons we’ll have little to no interest in any Isak player swaps but it could be a tactic by rival clubs to try and get the price down/tempt us. Blindingly obvious, but there you are.
  11. Liverpool are planning for next season with Jarell Quansah on board amid speculation about the defender’s future. The 22-year-old was the subject of strong interest from Newcastle United last summer and their admiration for him remains. However, Liverpool are not considering the sale of the academy graduate, who is a big part of head coach Arne Slot’s plans. according to The Athletic.
  12. I like Collins, I’ve been watching him since he first broke through with Ireland, but I’d be shocked if we went for him. He’d have to improve dramatically to be CL worthy. Maybe at a low price (release clause?) and along with another CB but can’t see it.
  13. Literally anything in the box for me. His body may be failing but you don’t forget how to finish. Osula still hasn’t figured that out and may never.
  14. I didn’t want to say it but if a chance fell to Wilson or Osula in the 90th minute I know who’d I’d be backing (at this point)
