  1. I’m relaxed. If he goes it’s time. If he doesn’t, Howe sees something, and all those writing him off with such certainty are wrong, just like they were with Gordon, Murphy, Barnes etc.
  2. They were devastated by the late loss to City, and they properly took that into Palace where they were rinsed, and their players looked knackered. Now Rashford is out I think them winning 4 in a row will be a huge ask for them.
  3. On the flip side Man U regularly destroys careers, Brexit Jim may not be offering the ludicrous wages of old and Eddie might be able to get them both in the starting line up, at least sometimes. Isak cannot play every game and we need the second choice striker to be the very best quality we can find. It’s like right now Barnes is showing his worth, we need 2 quality players in every position and 30m is a snip.
  4. The underlying numbers have to catch Forest at some point. This is miracle stuff.
  5. Absolutely, but your squad is ludicrously strong, stronger than most outside Birmingham realise. Seems like you’ve got an equivalent player in every position bar keeper.
  6. Right, time to log off from football content till end of next week.
  7. Bizarre take from a Newcastle fan. Dortmund in no way “battered us” at home, we hit the bar twice, (their social media team even thanking the crossbar for the result) and the PSG penalty is up there with the worst decisions in the competition’s history.
  8. Man Utd would be long gone without Fernandes. He singlehandedly saves them every other game. Including in Lyon.
  9. I think he’d have been delighted and surprised to sign for a champions league chasing side in any capacity given his record to date?
  10. Forest do have an easy run, but they are without some key attacking players now, have no experience of this kind of situation and their whole take-a-one-goal-lead-and-defend like-dogs approach is limited by nature. I think they’ll drop more points, though we’ll still have to be really on it to capitalise.
  11. Osula was a gamble. He’s never really scored anywhere and none of us would have picked him out of Sheffield United. He’s got some good attributes but he isn’t even that young. He seems really immature as a person and I have a hard time imagining him as a deep student of the game or someone Eddie can trust to carry out a tactical plan. Now maybe he can get a few sub appearances between now and the end of the season and demonstrate his growth but Wilson will remain second choice till the summer. I’m in the camp where Wilson has been improving somewhat with each sub appearance, he put in one delightful ball last night that someone should have gambled on. He’s not the Wilson of 2 years ago but he’s an infinitely better finisher than Will Osula and he may still pop up with a crucial goal before seasons end.
  12. Putting Sky sports out of business would massively hurt our bottom line no?
  13. Fair enough, maybe you’ve watched him more. He’s tasked with covering Kirkez when he bombs forward which leaves huge space for him to cover which he does really well from what I’ve seen.
  14. Reading the Huijsen piece this morning in The Athletic he sounds absolutely perfect for us. Fast, really tall, two footed, brave and progressive. Too bad there’s so much competition.
