  1. Everton are considering a summer move for Newcastle's 27-year-old English midfielder Sean Longstaff. (Talksport) New Arsenal director of football Andrea Berta wants to make Newcastle's 27-year-old Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes and Real Sociedad's 26-year-old Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi his first signings. (AS - in Spanish), external Barcelona also have Newcastle midfielder Guimaraes high on their list of summer transfer targets. (Football Espana)
  2. He can only play in one position and in one way, and Gordon starts instead of him and Big Joe should start ahead of him when Gordon is out.
  3. It's not just players we need IMO it's a different much more possession based football if we are to progress and that will mean buying more technical players rather than athletes.
  4. That's really not good by Tino on their winning goal.
  5. They were tactically and technically better than us all game and deservedly get the win. Our season is looking a bit cooked at the moment.
  6. Had to go and find Miley on the second page. I think he flies under the radar a lot, he's not flashy, doesn't get into fights and get booked, he just gets on with it. He finds space and virtually never wastes a pass. He's press resistant and never seems hurried. He does need to get more involved, the more we ask him to do the more he'll show what a good footballer he is. Not at all sure what his best position is yet but that will come.
  7. Something to cheer everyone up. Newcastle United are lining up a move for Bournemouth's Netherlands forward Justin Kluivert, 25, in case they lose Sweden striker Alexander Isak, 25, in the summer. (Sun), external Newcastle and Tottenham could revive their interest in Crystal Palace's England defender Marc Guehi, 24, in the summer when he enters the final year of his deal, after Spurs had an offer rejected late in the January window. (Sky Sports)
  8. I've always thought that having so many coaches like Tindall and Jones continually whispering in his ear makes him indecisive and only reactive often when it's too late. It was obvious watching the second half what was coming and yet by the time he changed anything the momentum and ultimately the game was lost. In his defense no way do Trippier and Willock improve us. Still a bit of pro activity before the hour mark would be nice to see. His in game management is his kryptonite.
  9. On the balance of play Fulham deserve that.
  10. Very lucky. Need to change something as so far they are just better than us, technically and tactically.
  11. No control at all here, hanging on a bit.
