My guess a few weeks ago is that he fell out with Howe, and just been sidelined. He has no recourse to fall back on, so far as he's crap - but can imagine his agent/him kicked up on various stuff from him not game time first year, not getting move away late window, to Gordon starting over him, to him scoring then dropped.

Defoe came to my mind on Wissa's chance early. But yeah, the example is fair to Wolte as well. There is a lost generation of players that that would hit shots inside/outside off both feet, because off muscle memory of scoring goals. Taking shots first time in the box is a sign of a goalscorer. Hit it first time, test the keeper at minimum.

That figure is boosted from last summer when we spent £200M. Sad reality is a £1Bn doesn't put a dent into toppling the top teams in this league. Whilst Moyes won the Conference League, the club is aimless and a husk. How much would it cost West Ham to qualify for CL twice, and win a trophy? You could easily pump a Billion into West Ham and not take them to into the CL. If you put £700M into Leeds, would they get returns like Newcastle have had over last seasons?

Even in a bad season, you always should have been a team challenging for the Champions League. Man United have spent over a decade spending fortunes on players that have next to zero impact on improving the side's fortunes. You signed Di Maria. He'd just won a CL, and one of world's hottest players for sale - no impact. Same for Sancho, one of England's hottest talents, and probably biggest forward talents you could buy. You spent £80M? For whatever reasons, he went to Man U and his career has tanked, and not improved Man United's cause zero bit. Why is Man City get recruitment right, even Chelsea if you expand it to last 10 years - or abroad PSG, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern even Juve, but Man U get it so, so wrong.

Anyone else spot when Tripp's came on, camera shows him going to Elanga. From my basic lip reading skills, it was Tripp's shouting at him and telling him to just pass him the fucking ball. From memory Tripps came on basically as soon as Elanga gave the ball away yet again just inside our own half. All the play down the right side for that 10mins went through Trippier. If he carries on playing like he does, he won't stay, and think he'll just be loaned off. Lad needs to improve big time on some of the basics in being a PL winger. Howe will lose trust in a winger that loses the ball as much as he does, and offer no numbers going forward.

I'm leaning toward believing it will. + A season, a year older and a full pre-season he'll be a player that's stronger and fitter. He's not fit enough, or 'Eddie-fit' to play 90mins for us, let alone impact multiple games in a block. - He'll never be a player that can or will want to run in behind. Can still be quality, as seen for Germany. He has talent, but we aren't in the fortune or ever likely to have in coming years to have levels of Germany's forward talent buzz off him. What I'm on fence on is if he will ever be coached, or grow into being more aggressive in his game. Both physically, and mentally. I don't think he's an instinctive finisher that will just score for fun anything that drops to him 6-10 yards out. That can be coached though - Rashford was a good example I remember (being told to stand in width of goalposts). Another factor as to why I'm on the fence, is the supporting cast he's playing with. Not saying we need Musiala, Sane - but lot's needs to change on many fronts for Wolte to work out.

He was 6-8th choice forward we'd have had on a list that summer. Talented player, but not suited for us; certainly not as a £70M lead forward. I think once it gets so far down a transfer priority list beyond 3rd pick, you should call it a day in the market. In reality, if we want to be in that top 6/CL we are still going to be in the market for a replacement striker that can score us 20-30 goals in a season. Wissa was a good replacement for Wilson, but at £55M we've paid through the nose on that deal. Last summer will bite us on the arse hard in coming years even with the Isak windfall and CL money this year. Hard to know what to do, even with hindsight of Wissa's injury, Gordon unable to play as a 9 and Osula being 'sidelined' - but think we rushed into a market and got are arse bit for wanting a 6-8th choice pick.

I don'r trust a new stadium move. New ground will be like Evetons, and West Hams. 15 pound burgers, and 30k just want St James Park.
-
MK Dons are the purest example of being just a football team with a great stadium. Maybe Darlington as well.. Sullivan, Gold and Brady owned Birmingham City on the potential they'd get a stadium off the back of that Casino City scheme Blair had. It's no surprise they turn up at West Ham, and get a stadium off the 2012. Moving grounds and changing stadiums doesn't go well in UK. Spain do it right - Bilbao moved on the same spot, like Spurs did, but they don't hate it all. Why is that - Bilabo have culture that can't be brought or sold. Spurs moving stadium became a huge money venture New stadium for Newcastle will kill the club, and make 20 quid pies acceptable because Tik Tok knobhead's viralise it.
-
Just don't want a - now we'd brand it 'Temu stadium' that drains the soul from the club. We take the piss out of all the old fogies in East Stand, but that's what makes SJP great. West Ham probably best example of moving stadiums and draining out the soul from the club. MK Dons have a PL stadium, but club has no soul. Pompey and Bradford having 20k+ in League 2 is because they never moved to new grounds. I'm biased as I watch Pompey more than Newcastle, but still think SJP and Fratton Park are best stadiums that just give huge energy. Having 11 players than win on the pitch matters the most, but having 30, 40 even 70+ fans enter a ground they hate and don't want to be in has far more energy that's ever considered. Lucas Paqueta and Bowen are great players - West Ham fans would rather be in League 1 and at Upton Park.

Mitro scores all the time playing for Serbia. He scored 43 goals in Champ. We paid 75m for Wolte. He's scared to win headers.
-
Rafa hated this man. I love him still. Goal pig..
-
Wolte will never score even 10 goals in Premier League, I want us to have a Ruud van Nistelrooy striker - Mitro Fulham - goal a game tap in merchant
-
Best XI wins at end of the day. Tell me about Liverpool? 70s they were funded by Littlewoods?
-
João Gomes from Wolves Wanted us to sign him in the summer. Aggressive 8 that plays like Joelinton but more creative.
-
Never suggested he's a poor player. I think Forest will go down with players like Anderson than walk into top level sides
-
Has anyone watched Sean Dyche and Elliot Anderson recently? He is anon. World class against Malta with Declan Rice, but missing to save you from relegation. 2026 Gini Wijnaldum.
-
Just want us to sign Hayden Hackney. Chelsea will get him from Boro for 12m and loan him to France.
-
Ramsdale will start. he will ping 4 passes we gush on then Wotsit wrist us 1-0 down.
-
Chubby Anderson from Porto
-
Agree on this. Scousers are special types of people.
-
Fulham spent 4 years building a new stand so they could sell corporate tickets, and justify selling a 4 course meal at £180 without seeing a ball kicked.
-
So happy we brought this guy, and Maddison is crocked at Spurs. Barnes scores goals. He's a Ruud van Nistelrooy of left wingers.
-
Does it have a match-viewing Sauna like Fulham built?
-
Anderson was class for Man U tbf At least Man U used to recruit the best talent from the league and play them. Man City ruin most of them. Semenyo the latest - Scott Sinclair, Rodwell, Kalvin Phillips
