I'd love to remember who broke what last summer for this sort of thing. IIRC... Wolte: first broken by Hope Wissa: interest first reported by Hope or even Downie? Ramsey: Ornstein Thiaw: fucked if I can remember who first said we were back in Ramsdale: can't remember Elanga: think this was Edwards regrettably, but a broken clock and all that Only confident on Wolte and Ramsey there

Isak being shite and or crocked for an entire season was the ultimate dream scenario. I enjoyed it, but it was never going to last.

If, like me, you're the type of anxious sad act who frets about a lack of activity before the window opens, this is a reassuring read. TL;DR - nobody has done owt. The only vaguely close major incoming is Ederson to Man U as far as I can tell. https://www.football365.com/news/every-premier-league-transfer-confirmed-in-the-summer-of-2026

Expecting some links to Tino imminently.

I'm trying not to be a miserable cunt, but this feels like the other end of the Isak extreme. Gordon hasn't left after we let his deal expire. He's agreed a move to another club. While I get that it's good optics to brag about our player development, the "go and smash it in Barcelona" stuff is a bit small-time for me like.

Mark Douglas reporting/speculating that our four-man shortlist to replace Gordon is Fernandez-Pardo, Malick Fofana, Victor Munoz, and Abde Ezzalzouli. My Dennis Wise report: Pardo looks class. Seems to be the most "Eddie player" of the four in terms of versatility and power, but he's got lovely feet. Fofana is techy as fuck with lightning feet but looks easy to batter. Munoz looks a mix of the two. Love the look of him. Abde looks like every LW you've ever seen tbh, nothing really stands out. He also turns 25 midway through the season, so he'd have to be unbelievably class to sell on for a big fee, if that is indeed the new model.

My thoughts exactly watching this. Excellent vision. His corner technique is unbelievable.

Also, I'm ecstatic that Romano didn't get to spin a saga out of it.
-
Will always remember his monster performances in the League Cup semi. I also won't forget his worst traits. There was a game last season in the CL, Benfica at home, where he was unplayable. He was fantastic. But even then, the amount of times he ignored Wolte was getting on my tits. This was the best and worst of Gordon in one game - excellent, but in it for himself.
-
I'd have liked a slightly higher fee, but it's a near-perfect deal. Not sure how long Mbuemo had left on his contract last tear, but it's a higher amount for fewer goal contributions. As others have pointed out, it's a great pitch to any incoming players.
-
I know he's unpopular but Hope reckons it might be Fernandez-Pardo. Hope was the first to make any mention whatsoever of Strand Larsen and Wolte interest, so I'd back him over anybody else on the strength of his summer '25.
-
We need to reject the first bid, but its not as derisory as I'd expected.
-
Are we getting a HERE WE GO imminently? As in this week? Romano is going quite big and this would explain why Gordon was in that weird benched-without-being-ostracised place for the last however many games.
-
Disagree. I don't think he has a *great* deal in the way of actual pure talent. His ball-striking in open play is quite poor measured against other elite players in his position. I think he's intelligent and quick and that Eddie loved him because he grafted and was able to deliver his tactical instructions. Not trying to downplay his best form, but your description better fits Rashford imo.
-
Never fancied him to score cutting in on his right, although he bagged a few, obviously. Fernandez-Pardo for half the price and a first-choice keeper with the funds please.

I can never remember the last one that actually went through. The Delap links that never go away chill me to the bone, though. I'm not saying that I can't enjoy my summer until he goes to Everton, but I'd like him to sign for Everton in the next week.
-
It took 72 hours for the most harrowing transfer rumour of the summer to materialise. Don't read the first comment if your mental health could be better.
-
That Transfer Checker was adamant we were still going to end up with Wissa when the deal was considered dead by everyone else. That account reckons we're in for Hackney.

I think he's living in denial, and it's very alarming. He's chasing his losses. Kept saying he was desperate to play again after every bad loss. Refused to recognise the awful form of certain players. He's obviously going to protect his players, but saying that "Burn has never let us down in that position" when playing him at left back again - AFTER Brentford away - was infuriating. I wouldn't want to resign either if I was him, especially since he's more likely to end up at Spurs or Everton than an elite club, but all that talk of a willingness to leave and the journo chat about him being self-reflective is a load of shit.
-
Massive conundrum this. Thing about Barnes is that it's not just his output we'd miss, it's his mentality. Alongside Bruno, he's the only player we have with the bravery and quality to grab a game by the scruff of its neck. He lives for those moments and the rest of the team is shit scared of them in the main.
-
Howe was never going to walk. He probably had a little emo moment in the post-match sit-down after Brentford, but I doubt he offered to resign.
