New transferpolicy

The owners really need to make up a new transerpolicy for the club. At the  moment we have a squad full of players that weren't good enough for other teams. Our list of players like that is far too long.

Owen

Smith

Geremi

Martins

Duff

Butt

Carr

Cacapa

How can anyone beleive that picking up leftovers from others can be a winning idea? We need to go for the players that are in demand.  Beye, Enrique and Faye are steps in the right direction.

But hey,, why not go on and sign

Crouch

Diarra

Hyypia

We might beat some kind of record.

think the OP has a point but basically agree with Nut that it depends on the player and why the other team are getting rid. if they're promising young players with talent who simply can't break into one of the top clubs' first XI then i don't have a problem, bentley, martins, diarra are all good players forced out of arsenal, chelsea and inter, gillespie is another good example. older players i'm much more wary of.

Not entirely right.

All the players you mention had decent options when they made their moves, whether it was to stay at big clubs or move elsewhere.

It's more a question of what happens to these "top players" when they get here.

Despite all that has happened at NUFC, unlike other clubs in the north east playing in their partially filled stadiums, we do not seem to have a problem attracting top players who have genuine options about where they play.

Agree with this.

We really need to be wary of players that have had a long time in their current club and look at why they aren't getting a game. Often, you see these rejects play every now and again and think that they are looking like good players, but in reality, they just good because the rest of the team are so good, which is why they always seem to fail when they come here.

Surely you cant moan at a player that is not quite good enough for a first choice, top premier league team.

Crouch?

Diarra?

Yes please

It depends entirely on the player. but ya know sam liked his "bargains" campo etc
