She spent the next 6 months slowly dying before mine and the families eyes.

Naturally during this traumatic period I couldn't really follow the saga of owens transfer on a minute by minute basis.

Nightmare, I'm surprised you had time to even think about the football although it may have been an escape for you, that's awful.  I've only had to watch grandparents go through that sort of thing and it was bad enough but it must be multiplied x 1000 if it's a parent, or even worse, a kid.
