Guest nufc_geordie
Newcastle have a definite 8 games, possibly 9 depending on the league cup game v Watford throughout November. What situation do you think the club will find themselves in come December 1st? For me, we will have 10 points in the league almost certainly mening bottom three, a draw v Sheff Utd and a draw v Portsmouth are all Im'm expecting there. I fancy Watford to turn us over in the league cup but I can see us beating Celta Vigo and even getting a point at Franckfurt and progressing in Europe. Clay
Surely alot of these predicitons would see Roader sacked wouldn't they? I'm going to be a bit more optimistic in the team turning things around 2nd November - Palermo (a) LOSE 4th November - Sheffield United (h) WIN 7th November - CC4Watford (a) WIN 11th November - Man city (a) WIN 18th November - Arsenal (a) DRAW - Seems quite easy for teams to hold Arsenal at bay these days 23rd November - Celta Vigo (h) LOSE 26th November - Portsmouth (h) WIN 30th November - Frankfurt (a) LOSE But if i was going to be sensible it would predict 2nd November - Palermo (a) LOSE 4th November - Sheffield United (h) DRAW 7th November - CC4Watford (a) WIN 11th November - Man city (a) DRAW 18th November - Arsenal (a) LOSE 23rd November - Celta Vigo (h) LOSE 26th November - Portsmouth (h) WIN 30th November - Frankfurt (a) LOSE
Yorkie
We will NOT lose to Celta Vigo... they're not a good team. Infact, they'll finish bottom of the group in my opinion. Their defense is hopeless, but they've got a handy striker in Fernando Baiano. He's got 6 goals so far this season. If our forwards are on a decent bit of form, and the team itself actually performs - we'll beat them without a doubt. We might be shit in the EPL but it's a completely different situation in the UEFA Cup. Even though Palermo will beat us (not quite to the embarrassing state that some people are predicting), i still reckon we'll do well. Finishing third will be better than finishing second however. Finish second will hand us a draw against a Champions League drop-out.
Guest nufc_geordie
Aye, we don't want a champions league drop out, could well see Barcelona and Arsenal in there yet!!!
Pokerprince2004
Aye, we don't want a champions league drop out, could well see Barcelona and Arsenal in there yet!!! We wont get Barca as they will win their 2 remaining games and finish 2nd/1st and we wont get Arsenal as we cant get another English club yet. IF we did finish 2nd the main threats from champions league drop outs would be Porto/Lisbon/Olympiakos
