hakka
What needs to change? First thing is get a good manager in. Second is to back him (not always about money, but control of certain football decisions at the club). You have to do both these things. We have either got the right man in but didn't back him, or got the wrong man in and backed him.
Begbie
For this club to change we have to change it all. We need to sack Llambias and get a real chairman who knows to handle the press and the club, and lead by excample. - We need a real manager to take over our team, rather have an up an comming manager than a has been(that wasnt anything in the first place). If we can get a manager with a reputation, then we can get better players here. - We need coaches, who are specialist in different positions. They also must work together and have knowledge of the system we are playing. Our academy should adapt to the same formation our first team are playing, so they are suitet our team when they get a shoot at the first team. - Physios, we have the biggest injury list in the premiership so our physios aint doing the job they are paid for. Look at Ac Milan they have the best medical team in football. - Our Scouts are doing an ok job, but we need a bigger scouting network. And we need to separate the first team money and the academy money. - Players we sign must want to play for the club, and not just come here for the money. And we as fans must get behind the team, and trust the system. And not start singing sack the manager or sack the board after one or two bad games. Exiled in Texas
Exiled in Texas - I think you'll find that all clubs have "unrealistic" fans. We're not unique in that respect at all. We just seem to have more of them......and the Knee Jerk is in full effect. If we are going to have some change, then it needs to come from the inside as progress... and not from the outside as change. For example, if you're going to change managers, get the new guy lined up and agreed and then move out JFK - that's a progressive move. Don't fire the guy without a replacement lined up - or that's just more turmoil. Oh well. Here's hoping that the protests don't do too much more damage. So you're saying we should recruit to the position before we sack the incumbent manager? AKA constructive dismissal...aye, that would be a truly progressive move. Exactly...I'm sure that's what every company does (although probably not publically). They know they are going to pay off the incumbents contract anyway. But you have to know that your plan is taking you forward, rather than just hope that it turns out OK, once there is no turning back.

These aren't new problems either. Of those 6 points it's only the first one that hasn't been a problem for at least the last 5 years. In the case of our coaches, physios and scouts arguably a lot longer.
