From the BBC website:

England are the Newcastle of the international world!

Great support, not won anything in 50 years, think they're bigger than they perhaps are, managed by someone whose highlight is reaching the Europa League final..

You never pick Sterling over Walcott on recent form.

Walcott is the most inform England player in our squad by a mile.

Shouldn't they both be playing?

Probably but i understand Townsend to an extent, he has turned up in an England shirt though not today. Sterling has had a poor end to the season, Liverpool were disasterous, his personal life is a mess, he's constantly underfire and big suprise he's missed all our chances today.

Walcott has been back properly for two games, scored 4 goals, helped his side win a cup & is massively full of confidence.

Roys just gone for the old support the underfire player tactic & ignored all the surrounding context.

They could put Sterling and Townsend on the wings and Rooney behind Walcott

It's just so tiresome.

A bloke at work the other day chucked out the cliché that we didn't like Pardew because he was a southerner. I tried to put him right but had to walk off in the end before I did something I would regret.

Really a need for all three of the goal scoring specialists that are Wilshere, Delph and Henderson? Can't we have some attempt at an attacking midfielder on the pitch?

Need two IMO, Wilshere is the only they are attempting to mark because they know the other two can't hurt them and he's the deepest of the lot

If wilshere is the best attacking midfield player we have, we have to accept we're just awful. He's a good player, but he's not exactly Lampard or Gerrard going forward.
