Guest Phil K
Goal - "to be in the championship in 5 years" EH ?
Guest johnson293
The Magpies, who were recently taken over by a Middle-Eastern consortium, and Eriksson's agent Athole Still are refusing to confirm his involvement. Wonder if they bought the wrong Magpies? Coming to something when League 2 Notts County get taken over by Middle East money before us!!!

geordiedean
Only took Fulham,Hull and Wigan five years or so to rise from bottom to top
James
This has been confirmed, they must be paying him and Tord Grip shitloads.
Minhosa
This has been confirmed, they must be paying him and Tord Grip shitloads. They've made him a shareholder. Interesting retention strategy. Be even more interesting should he bugger off and still have a say about how they manage the business. Hmmmmm
Guest Stephen927
Surprised by this, will be a good challenge for him, taking a struggling League Two team and trying to get them to the higher leagues. Sven is surely a fan of Football Manager.

Interesting retention strategy. Be even more interesting should he bugger off and still have a say about how they manage the business. Hmmmmm He'd have to sell them if he leaves and wants to manage another team, as there's laws against conflicts of interest in regards to shares/ownerships of teams. Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Bet he doesn't last two years Yeah, I'm sure he'll have offers from bigger teams ASAP, the only thing I can see that would make him stay is the money. Whether this be money he has to pay for breaking the contract, or the money he'll receive for staying at the club remains to be seen.

Wonder if they bought the wrong Magpies? Coming to something when League 2 Notts County get taken over by Middle East money before us!!! Would be like the story of West Auckland where legend has it that Sir Thomas Lipton invited the FA to send W.A.F.C (Woolwich Arsenal) to play in the first "World Cup", only for them to send West Auckland instead.
