madras
arguments can be made as to why he sacked hughton......none can be made for the apparent replacemnt.
Cunning_Linguist
True madras. This one is a case of wait and see what develops over the next few days/weeks (dare i say it, months)
Fatwax
Why would he need to sack the manager to sell the club? Hughton was close to the players and had a bond, Pardew isn't and therefore will have no qualms with shifting on the big earners in January. With a much smaller wage budget NUFC becomes a more saleable asset. Of course we'll have no decent players, a threadbare squad and be at least one division down come the time of the sale.. but that's how Mike Ashley operates. Stack 'em high, sell 'em cheap. Disco
What a pointless thread. Just doesn't make sense in the slightest. See the thread starter for further information.

Martin Lol
A rumour on Spurs forums is that Hughton wanted a 3 year contract of £1.5/2m pa. Ashley reckoned that would make him too expensive to sack sometime in the future so better to get rid and bring in a cheaper option now. The originator is a known mate of Paul Kemsley and Mike Ashley so there probably is some truth in it. Still doesn't make Ashley's decision to sack Hughton right.
