England Form XI

No other respectable top nation does this man. They push a generation through until they make it, and then move onto the next lot. We're pulling back players to play in the tournament even though they've already made it.

Spain could have allsorts of ringers in here if they want, infact I'm sure the likes of Fabregas, Busquets etc could all be playing here if they wanted them too. It's just we're so short of good young players we're trying to pull in as many as possible so we don't feel outshone by the bigger nations. It's pathetic IMO and a large part of what is wrong with the set up we have in this country.

Forget Wilshere, give the starting birth to McEachran. He needs gametime in an England shirt more than Wilshere does, Wilshere needs rest if anything.

They do though. Also look at the teams the likes of Brazil & Argentina take to the Under 20 World Cups, Olympics, etc. All about getting young players out of the comfort zone of club football where it's all homey and into the environment of staying in a hotel for a month with the same people preparing for teams you don't generally face, learning what it's all about.

Argentina do it with a view to getting players in the shop window and moves away to Europe or wherever as the clubs are all skint.
