NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

Surely there's a new Laurent Robert out there somewhere? :(

Anywhere?

Dimitri Payet man. We might as well just buy the rest of Lille's star players. He's from Réunion, plays left-wing, would cost about the same as what Robert did and is about the same age as when we signed him. Has 8 goals and 9 assists this season already.

Got 6/8 last season and 13/7 the season before, so he's pretty proven in Ligue 1.

André Ayew :smitten:

Good player, very good. Lacks a bit of end product compared to the level of his other attributes though, so not like Guti/Obermong in other words. But he's african, and they wont sell him. Not that this was your point.

He's young still, and his end product isn't that bad. He'll be a star in his mid-20s, imho. I agree that there's no way they'd sell him.

You're right, it isn't bad, but if his end product was as good as the other qualities he's got he would have been sold by now. Class player.

will have been posted already but:

Siem De Jong's agent has played down reports linking the Ajax ace with a possible move to Newcastle.

Reports have suggested Newcastle are lining up a move for De Jong during this month's transfer window as they look to boslter their squad.

However, De Jong's representative, Louis Laros, claims the classy midfielder is happy at Ajax and will probably stay at the Amsterdam ArenA.

"There has been a lot of interest in Siem but at the moment he is the captain of Ajax, and he is happy at Ajax," Laros told Sky Tyne and Wear.

"I expect he will stay until the end of the season. But you never know." that ol' chestnut eh

"Mundo Deportivo" just linked you with Fulham's Kasami in their live transfer market stream. Can't find anything else so probably bollocks.

Lazio, Sampdoria and Wolfsburg also interested.

Siem De Jong would be fantastic, but see there being minimal prospect of him even wanting to come here.

The real question is, who's going to really sign him after Ajax accept our bid?

Ayew is a great player, really enjoy watching him play despite his nationality.

Their manager didn't call him up for the ACN, anyway, you wouldn't have to worry about any sort of national duties for two years. He's not coming to this club anyway, though.

 Ghanaian-Nigerian relations a little frosty these days?

Another day without a signing ladies. Barely a link of note. Less than two weeks to go and as it stands we are well and truly fucked.

This may be our last good option.

Jores Okore's agent admits that the Danish starlet could move this month.

The 20-year-old Danish international has a host of clubs from England chasing him with Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Fulham all linked.

Okore's agent refused to rule out that talks were ongoing, and admitted a deal could happen in January for the Nordsjaelland stopper.

"These are only rumours. Negotiations Ongoing with any club? No comment," Nikola Juric told Calciomercato.

"Obviously, Jores would like to prove himself in more competitive leagues, but we have no hurry. It could happen in January or in the summer.

"He is an intelligent guy and a model professional. The only thing I can say for sure, is that any choice won't be made for economic reasons. We seek a project and not the money. "
