He's a lucky motherfucker to have ended up at Newcastle.

He did a job for us when he came in and looked decent in his 1st season.  Time for both parties to come to an amicable split.

Oh yeah, I agree, it's just amazing he ended up here based on that record.

Good needs a spell at a Championship club for me before seeing if he's good enough for the 1st team.

Be a decent move for him if he gets first team football. He's been a model pro for us, I would like to think he'll be replaced...

Is it possible Curtis Good will be taking his place next season? If so is he capable?

No idea., guess he'd be cheap so it's a possibility. He seemed pretty mediocre whenever I saw him in Bradford's cup run albeit he was at LB sometimes.

2 million would a nice deal, i think Williamson gets a lot of unfair stick like, probably from myself as well at times. He is there for cover, just unfortunately with Taylor being such a shambles fitness wise, he's had to play an awfully lot more than he really should have been doing and obviously gets found out. It wouldn't bother me were we to keep him, he's more than adequate for a 4th choice CB imo. Think he showed once we signed Mapou that he can come in when called upon for the odd game here and there and do a job without much a of a fuss, it’s just when that odd game here and there stretches to a long run in the side that he gets crucified.

Douglas in, Williamson out would be fantastic.

Not if Colo isn't replaced.

I could live with Douglas, Mbiwa & Taylor as our CBs for next season, but it looks like Colo is staying anyway.

Who would you have to replace him?

That's the problem, I struggle to think of anyone who WE could bring in, who would hit the ground running so we wouldn't miss Colo badly, again.

For the time being, my head's going in the sand and hoping we cling on to him another season, giving Mapou a season to get up to speed.

Payet? Sweet lord that would be amazing: (HBA - Cisse - Payet)

On the topic of Douglas; I'll welcome any top strong CB - be it Sakho or Douglas. If that means we have a real competition for the role next to Colo then that would be fantastic. If Colo was to leave then I'd say Mapou would have to step up into that roll for Colo and Sakho/Douglas/Taylor would need to be the strength next to Mapou. Personally, Taylor, and I really do like the guy - seems like the junior yet he's actually 27 now. Shame some of the mistakes he makes and the lack of discipline he shows at times given he should be entering the better part of his career as a CB.

Hopefully our issue we end up having is Willo is sold and we have a real battle between Sakho/Douglas, Taylor, Yanga Mbiwa, and Colo. Be a great problem to have and we'd easily have a strength at CB.

Had an inordinate number of assists/goals last season. I'd be all for it, even if it is another Frenchie. (Payet)

10 goals and 10 assists in 28 games according to Wiki. A little bit of YT shows that he can take a corner too  :fwap:
