Cajun Posted December 21, 2012 Share Posted December 21, 2012 Mick, obviously nothing is guaranteed but surely you must think there is more chance of a striker who has scored 11 goals in 17 games is more likely to score in his favoured position than the one who has scored one all season (going to stop explaining his second, he had as much to do with it as that beach ball. I don't for one second believe he isn't a top player but the lengths some will go to blame anyone else (usually Demba Ba'stard) is mental Blaming Ba is one thing, recognising that a poacher can't be expected to play as a target man or a wide forward is quite another. Well i believe neither of them like playing next to each other as they're constantly making the same runs and running into each other. And neither likes playing out wide as they are pure strikers. No players likes sitting on the bench but that's part of football unless you can convince me otherwise. Fact is HE has scored one goal in the league this season therefore taking our real goalscorer out of position is a massive risk at the moment, one we can't afford to take. He just had the ball booted off him. If you want to mark that down as him putting one away that's your choice but he has clearly only scored one goal this season to anyone with any sense and 17 games into the season that isn't the sort of form you want from someone you're relying on to score the goals to move you up the table/keep you up. 11 (or 10 not including the handball which tbh showed a lot more instinct than Cisse's deflection) is the sort of form I would be far more confident to save our season.
