Guest
Half of the Premiership from 3rd down to 12th within just 7 points of each other, and we're still nowhere to be f*cking seen. Even if we'd been just average rather than plain sh*t, we'd have been in contention for a Champions League spot at this stage.
Dave
Aye. Liverpool have been woeful, but they'd have been fourth tonight with a win.
Guest
I think the problem is, there's about 7-8 clubs who are well-matched, will take points off each other, and are capable of nicking points off clubs like Arsenal & Liverpool, which explains why the league is so tight. M4
Reminds me of 2003-4 in a way. We were playing some incredibly frustrating football all season in the league yet were still in contention for CL qualification until the penultimate match. Mr. Snrub
5 points off 3rd if we had beaten the almighty Fulham and Sheff. Utd at home.
Guest
11 points off with a game in hand. Could we go on a run and at least get up to around 8th-10th?
Wullie
11 points off with a game in hand. Could we go on a run and at least get up to around 8th-10th? Pity we've got a Chelsea double coming up. Reading, Blackburn and Watford are all definitely winnable and with Dyer and Martins back and Duff crocked, we should definitely be winning the home two at least. I know we said that about Sheff Utd and Charlton, but after the way we played on Sunday, there should be no way on Earth we'll play as badly again with that pace in the side. Rob W
Hmmmm - we SHOULD beat Reading but they've played well in almost all their games - and they are miles ahead of us on goals scored.............................

Just goes to show how fine the line is between rabid protests outside the ground and swirling scarves inside the ground.
