leffe186
...and of course, Liverpool were still given more. Even though they were shite.
Stu
All lies. There is no TV money. Only money from player sales can be spent on anything, like contracts and free transfers. Self-parody?
Mike
The season we were in the Championship Back in 2009, we were relegated after a disaster of a season. Keegan had been 'forced out' of the club back in September and the maelstrom that followed did nothing to help the team, nor the 3 other managers who attempted to correct the club's inevitable course downwards. This meant that we kicked off the 2009/10 season in the Coca-Cola Championship, playing away from the headlines and non-stop news of the Premier League. Out of the spotlight, the club managed to right itself inside and out, thus beginning the upward momentum which has gathered pace over the last 3 seasons and landed us back in Europe. I fucking love Stu, even if he is a fake ass Celtics fan.

Dan Gleebals
Not hard to why these numbers combined with CL football year in year out help support the club financially. The extra 7M should allow for higher salaries for Ba and Tiote if required (and others). Still, very impressive jump for us, just shows what riches success can bring. Will this tempt Ashley into further investment or stick to his guns on a policy? - which to be fair, has worked very well so far.
TherealnorthernTOON
I for one think it's important to not get ahead of ourself and keep on building the way we have done for atleast two more years. If we can get closer there is every reason to bridge that small gap with more big money signings.

As long as it's not putting the future bank balance and transfer policy in jeopardy. And as long as they're well scouted and planned like the rest so we know we'll still get our money's worth, and not spur of the moment, 'just 'cause we can' signings like like Owen.
