Japan playmaker Keisuke Honda will leave CSKA Moscow to join AC Milan in January.

Honda, whose contract at CSKA ends in December, will be a much-needed reinforcement for Milan who are ninth in Serie A, having managed four wins in their first 15 league matches.

"Keisuke Honda will be a Milan player from 3 January," says chief executive Adriano Galliani. "We have already filed the contract, although we've been keeping it secret."

Will probably give Milan an extra gear

Aye, good engine Honda.

I wonder whether CSKA can car-ry on without him this season

:papiss:

He's the Type R player we should have VTEC'n on a free.

He would only stay until MLS beings in March, I'm guessing. Maybe not though, he hasn't been great with the Sounders. Just what Sam needs, another injury prone striker.

Obafemi Martins linked with West Ham on loan in January.

3 successive relegations in English football?

In whose world is he meant to be in his 20s still??

In his early forties according to a Nigerian student I teach (knows his younger brother apparently). Says Kanu is in his mid-forties too.

Village Idiot

Apparently Xabi Alonso won't sign a new contract with Real Madrid, and will be able to hold talks in January to leave on a free.

Moyes seen at yesterday's Atlético game, local sources linking ManU with Koke (who is the kind of player they need)

Alonso is still probably their 2nd best player and arguably the most important.... no coincidence how they have improved since he got back.

Will be a massive miss if he doesn't stay.
