Is there a reason Felipe Anderson only started 9 and made 12 substitute appearances last season?

Was injured at the start of the season then acted like a knob when he couldn’t walk straight back into the team. Think Lazio have done well to get £42m for him. Don’t think he he’s consistent enough to justify the hype and he just seems a bit of a knacker.

Papertalk from The Sun. Fulham may be about to make more waves in the market by chasing Malcom (Bordeaux).

Inter have tabled a package consisting of an initial season on loan costing £8.8million, with an option to buy next year for a further £26.5m.

Fulham, according to the rumor mill, will attempt to hijack this bid (by attempting to buy him outright). Good luck to them, if true. They're displaying an intent to compete after securing promotion, while Ashley continues to shit all over a one-team city.

Do the kit sponsors/suppliers/distributors etc etc not take the bulk of the money? Don't clubs make very low returns on shirt sales?

Thought so; "well they'll make the money back in shirt sales" = my mates: always have to tell them that's actually not true

These kind of signings always improve the commercial value of the club though, Juventus can get some nice sponsorships on the back of Ronaldo's signing.

Taylor Swift

Jeep is their main sponsor and they’re owned by Fiat Chrysler who are owned by the Agnelli family, who own Juventus. The value that Ronaldo can generate to the Agnelli family is key. Whether that money goes to Juventus or Jeep or Fiat Chrysler is basically a left pocket, right pocket thing.

a Juv friends told me about the arrangement with Adidas. Basically the current deal would give them around 52m income from those Ronaldo shirt sales.

Village Idiot

A Spanish newspaper now claims that Zidane will join Juve in the autumn. It's a rather shitty source (below tribal football level) but it would be fun if it happened.
