Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

Stick the figures up over Ashley's entire ownership, as the whole net spend is skewed by McClaren's spunkage.

I'm a bit lost at to what actually went down re Twitter yesterday. Can someone sum up? Why aren't SD tweeting anything? Do they normally?

They normally try and flog basic versions of Nike/Puma footwear multiple times per day. Since users have targeted them in the replies with the IfRafaGoes... hashtag they’ve stopped tweeting and started blocking people. It’s wonderful.

They normally tweet out ads for their various tat throughout the day but every time they did so they were hit with a barrage of abuse and ads for their competitors in the replies. So they stopped.

Their tweets were bombarded with anti-Ashley tweets across the board.

Under Rafa's management and including what we have spent/recouped and are due to this season (inc. sales of Mbemba & incoming of Schar), we have a -£22.5 net spend.

What kind of a mong follows Sports Direct on twitter anyway?

You don't have to follow them, it's more about traffic than followers. Their Customer Service Twitter will be the better one to go with soon imo because they can't ignore people who have customer service requests.

I kinda think Ashley's plan is that when rafa leaves at end of his contract all the players will have had their values massively upped so he can have one last big cash in selling them all, take the money then sell the club.

Stay on your toes, their current approach seems to be the Prop Joe method of keeping it boring.

So I wonder what happens now... I mean when will any of these Twitter accounts tweet again...

Not unless they tweet "Newcastle have once again broken their transfer record this summer and are in full support of Rafa by providing him with every penny the club generates."

Was satisfying.

It is very cathartic I must say.

What's this putting stuff in a shopping basket thing? Surely that doesn't stop people buying anything, only once you've ordered(?)
