Guest smoggeordie
The ref in the Wigan Vs Sheff U game awarded a pen to Sheff U only to then consult with his linesman and then change his mind. Thought all this protesting to every decision was dying down. Now I can't say "Why are they protesting because the ref never changes his mind?" anymore

PM
they merely pointed out to the ref that the linesman was trying to get the refs attention. not a win for the protesters. No, they wanted him to go and speak to his assistant. Meanwhile, said assistant was asking for a word over the headset. Learn to listen to interviews. La Parka
Simple solution: Only captains can talks to ref's and only when summoned. Mic the ref's Problem solved.
M4
there's no problem. Players should be allowed to vent some disgust at a decision without taking it too far, when the call is ridiculous... Like in today's game when the ref started having a go at the Sib because he was running away from the Watford keeper who kicked the ball into him, what was that all about?! Cajun
I don't mind players trying to argue a decision with a ref when its wrong but teams like Arsenal and Chelsea take it too far and you have 7 players all swarming round the ref shouting at him, just isnt cricket! bluebiggrin.gif
