Coronavirus in football

Hate hearing people say "if this happens, it'll be unfair on those teams", with regards to when the football is back on and how it'll happen. We're in an completely unprecedented situation, it won't be fair on everyone, the ones that end up suffering will just have to deal with it.*

*Talking about PL/Champions League and the other super riches here, and to an extent even the Championship as well. The people in League Two clubs losing their jobs is obviously as sad as people losing their jobs in other parts of society.

Statement from Hearts asking all staff including players to take a 50% pay cut in an attempt to save the club. They don’t anticipate any income until July/August when they expect things to be back to normal at the earliest. Pretty grim. A lot of clubs will be in a similar or worse boat.

What I want to know is what happens if we restart to try and finish, Liverpool win it mathematically then for whatever reason we can't finish the season?

If only there was some kind of financial rules in place to restrict them from spending so much of their revenue on wages

Shit bags, hate it when cubs and betting firms try and do ‘bats’, cringe!

Aye, that's what got us into this mess.

starting to hit clubs over here already, going to be devastating to league of ireland teams given they have no tv money to speak of

yep you can worry about 20-21 later (maybe a half season with just 1 match between teams?) but abandoning the current season will create legal havoc for everyone

Could make it a knockout or something, mini league with 4 groups of 5 direct to semi finals.

If we only lose a couple of months of next season just make teams play midweek more often. Pep and Klopp will whine and moan but fuck them.

More leadership shown there by a football manager than Boris "your nan's gonna die" Johnson
