Only thing I can fault him for his starting and never subbing Ronaldo. Otherwise he's put out teams that want to attack. WC18 Belgium beat Brazil & England twice. Only losing narrowly to the eventual winners in the semi's. Bigger achievement than anything Southgate has done imo. R16 has been particularly boring because of the defensive nature of many teams.
