We did spend most of that 5 minutes feigning injury tbf.

I dunno. I'm struggling to put too much on the ref yesterday.

The VVD one, meh. Probably intended a bit cheekily but didn't seem a huge amount in it. Probably should be a yellow but VAR won't intervene for that.

Isak penalty I can see why not given. Contact is minor and one of those where the attacker is actively looking for and leaning into the foul. Prob gets given the other way mind.

Blowing at the end. I'm not entirely sure when the whistle went but we were at time and if he's blown not seeing the attack was on I can forgive him it.

I thought he was otherwise decent. Let the game flow, gave them yellows when they deserved them rather than let them go, didn't give their pen claim either. Was one of the better performances I remember seeing recently to be fair.

The penalty incident happened right in front of us from where I was sitting, and we didn't think that it was a penalty cause Isak appeared to just stumble. From the replays though, I could see the defender stepping on Isak's foot. VAR could have done with a look.

Our 3 goals were outstanding, take Salah out of that team and we would have won comfortably IMO.

I think they are due a bad run, I'm going to lump on Man City @ 6/1

Just had a look on RAWK and surprisingly enough we are getting no credit, apparently we never laid a glove on then in the first half despite it being their worst performance since before Klopp took over and we only came away with a point due to the performance of their keeper and the ref. Also Anthony Gordon is a cheating, diving twat, They mustn't be old enough to remember Kenny Dalglish who perfected the art of diving for pens.

ah they're such a deluded bunch, any objective fan/pundit has given Newcastle plenty of praise for their performance

still fuming about the ref denying us our 4-3 moment

would've been sweet revenge for their late comeback last season and also helped erase the memory of Anfield in 96

I never have and never will look at RAWK. Bunch of mal adjusted self opinionated, self entitled yobs.

It's pure projection from them. That's a fairly even game however you look at it. They're clearly better than us as a team but a draw was about right, I can understand them trying to not lose face and front it up but they're just livid we didn't roll over and just gift them the 3 points. I'd love to see them lose the League by a single point

It is still annoying we failed to beat them. Not had a win over them since what, 2016 or 2017, something like that? That was our best chance for a long while and the performance matched the scoreline. It wasn’t like we were hanging on bar a few spells in the game.

I think that’s the next step for this team. The nous to win a game like that and kill them off or see it out.

Was a goal up,  them down to 10 men, us hitting the woodwork and their keeper pulling off worldies not a better chance ?

I get what your saying though but it's harder to kill games off when we aren't so great at holding possession that way. The only way we can really kill games off is by scoring again.

Thanks. I’d erased that game from my memory. Well, I tried to.

I still wonder how much of a sliding doors moment that game was.

Losing at home after being ahead and a man up for most of the game. Was a proper gut punch after an evening eating bad shellfish.

Imagine we go to Brighton with wins against both Villa and Liverpool and a narrow away defeat to City. We'd have been in a good place. Might well still have lost of course, but after the high of the Villa game, things felt really low after Liverpool and we were always playing catch up.

Never been more fucked off with a result. Obviously we have had far worse beatings and ones that meant more. But I’d had a gutful of Peroni, stood in a bar full of plastic Liverpool fans and one scouser (who was actually dead sound) watching on me own. Whilst away on our anniversary weekend.

What made it worse was. In a whatsapp group full of Liverpool supporting mates. When Nuñez came on, I said he’d cause us problems and I’m going to back Liverpool to win and draw. Was like 50/1 and 10s, from memory. Got caught up chatting, ordered another beer. Then he scored. Then he scored again….

I don’t think I said a word for about 3 hours after

Actually getting annoyed typing all that out and reliving it all
