Guest smoggeordie Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 If you fancy our chances of reaching this season's UEFA Cup final in Galsgow, then the following may be of interest to you: UEFA and the Scottish FA today revealed how fans can apply for tickets for this season’s UEFA Cup Final, to be played at Hampden Park in Glasgow on 16 May. Tickets will be sold exclusively via Europe’s football website, uefa.com, and the general public will be able to apply for up to two tickets per applicant between noon on 16 February and midnight on 16 March 2007. There is an equal chance for everyone to buy a ticket as they will be allocated by ballot, and every valid application will enter the ballot, regardless of the time of submission within the application period. Precise details of how to apply will be announced on 16 February. The spectator capacity of Hampden Park for the UEFA Cup Final 2007 will be 48,000. Of these, 14,000 tickets are available for sale to fans worldwide, while more than half of the stadium capacity is reserved for the supporters of the two finalists, with each finalist club able to take up to 13,200 tickets for its own supporters. 7,600 tickets will be allocated to the European football family, comprising UEFA, the local organising committee, national associations, commercial partners and broadcasters. The price categories for the general public are: Category 1 £85.00 Category 2 £70.00 Category 3 £50.00 Category 4 £30.00 Disabled £30.00 The following administration charges (inc. postal charges) will apply per ticket order: UK based £7 Mainland Europe £15 Rest of the World £20 Payment can be made by credit card only (Eurocard/MasterCard and Visa) and applicants will be informed by 23 March 2007 if they have been successful or not. Tickets will be dispatched as from 23 April 2007 by express courier. All applicants are bound by the ticketing terms and conditions. Action will be taken in cases of infringement. Online applications will be checked against police data to ensure that anyone banned from stadiums is unsuccessful in any attempt to purchase tickets. Persons attending the final are warned that tickets will be personalised and that checks at the stadium are planned. UEFA underlines that no tickets are being distributed via agencies or brokers. UEFA also encourages fans not to be lured into deals with touts who not only demand exorbitant prices but are often not in possession of the tickets they purport to have for sale. You can cancel your application if/when your team gets knocked out. Made a canny score when I got 4 for the final a few years ago - Celtic in Seville.
