Lloydie
I know I've said he's good before, but anyone watching Babel on Saturday would have been disappointed, he had a shocker. (at least in the first half, I turned off after that) Mindyou, the whole Dutch team were poor on Saturday.
Martin Lol
Little doubt in my mind that Babel will wind up at the Emirates

Guest Ridzuan
Never heard this guy before as well, but surely, how many LB out there are much more worse than the ones we have currently.
Cajun
Never heard this guy before as well, but surely, how many LB out there are much more worse than the ones we have currently. That seems to be the stance of a lot of posters but they will be the first to moan when we sign someone because "well he must be better than Baba/Carr/Bramble etc.." If we want to progress we need to sign players much better than the ones who are currently not good enough.
Guest Verlaine
Of course, the other option when you haven't heard of someone is to keep an open mind. Just because we support Newcastle, doesn't mean everything is constantly black and white. BA DUM TISH.
Cajun
Im with T27 on this one, the lad has apparently played less games in the last 4 years than Babayaro, an average of just over 16 games a season. Last thing we need.
Guest Verlaine
Of course, you realise that the Ukrainian season is 30 games long, right?
Cajun
Of course, you realise that the Ukrainian season is 30 games long, right? So he is still missing about half a season? No thanks.
Guest Verlaine
Of course, you realise that the Ukrainian season is 30 games long, right? So he is still missing about half a season? No thanks. You're also aware of the winter break after 15 matches, and that the league resumes in March, and that IQ27 was factoring in this half season (where he's played the vast majority of games) in his 'four seasons' declaration? And that there's only one cup competition? And that T27 is one of the least credible posters on any board, ever?
Cajun
So how many games has he played in the last 4 years?
Guest Verlaine
So how many games has he played in the last 4 years? In the past 5 full seasons, he has played approx. 75% of games. This is only approx. because I don't know how many cup games the side was involved in. Note also that this figure is signifcantly lower because last season he only played 12 games. He was injured for a month at least, which may account for some of this. He has played regularly in whichever European competition the club has been involved in. Does this answer your question? Guest Verlaine
Not really The original question wasn't good enough, I had to change it to tell the full story.

I agree, Shakhtar's need to play a full strength team in the league is non existant too, they have 47 points 19 games in and themselves and Dynamo Kiev are miles ahead at the top. Much like the Rangers/Celtic situation but worse i imagine. More tellingly is probably that the lad has made 30+ int'l appearances since 2002. On a seperate note, Shakhtars new stadium looks like it'll be canny.
