Troll
"whose willingness to discuss new contracts with his young players is in contrast to his caution in handing extensions to senior players like Titus Bramble, Nolberto Solano, James Milner and Antoine Sibierski." Makes it sound like Milner's old and past it, when he's only a few months older than Pattison and has a lot more potential.
Newcastle Fan
We shouldve done that this season tbh.. Youngsters like Carroll and Huntington need games to improve, all they will get here is reserves run-ins untill the end of the season, sending them to teams in the low league will give them game experince and will help them adapt more to first team football. Yorkie
We shouldve done that this season tbh.. Youngsters like Carroll and Huntington need games to improve, Cos 14 Premiership matches ain't enough to improve yourself.

Under Pressure, facing world class player... not really, espically for an 19 yearold defender.. I guess it depends from one player to another, the abillty to handle the pressure and preform,Huntington always looked nervious from day one and i guess he was put under a huge amount of pressure that didnt really help him improve more.. Playing in Championship or any lower league will help him devolp himself even more..
Delima
http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/news/tm_headline=plans-to-farm-out-young-stars%26method=full%26objectid=18809862%26siteid=50081-name_page.html Plans to farm out young stars Mar 26 2007 By Luke Edwards, The Journal Having been forced to speed up their football development due to injuries, Glenn Roeder plans to get rid of Newcastle's youngsters next season - but only on loan. . . . He is being brought back slowly from injury, he doesn't need to play again this season, but we're looking to farm him out on loan next season, probably for the whole year. "But you have to be very careful of the club we choose because he has been very well coached by Terry Gennoe and is working with two fantastic keepers who he is learning from. It may be the case we do not want him to go too far away so we can have him in on a Monday and Tuesday so he can still be coached by Terry." I am very impresed by this bit. Well done Glenn.
