CPL
Was thinking of getting a Shearer framed shirt for my room, so he will always be with us... well me bluebiggrin.gif Anyway where is the best place to get a shirt printed and framed?? Is it easier to just buy the shirt and get it framed yourself? Also my cousin told me to get the printing done from http://www.subsidesports.comuk as the printing is alot bigger than standard so looks better. Also what is better the standard printing or the felt? And what shirt size..... if it matters Answers on a postacard.....
Guest Gemmill
If you send a shirt to the club with explicit instructions he'll sign it for you. You'll need to be quick now though. The lovely catmag got me one with "Happy 30th Scott, Alan Shearer" on it. bluecool.gif Then you can get it framed afterwards - just go to a specialist picture framers. Guest Bramble OG
ive got the player spec lexta letters/number/prem badges there bigger, look better, but cost a bit more, A mate went to the training ground and shearer signed it no problem!. Framed at a local place for about £60. http://images16.fotki.com/v300/photos/7/77307/750458/IMG_8729-vi.jpg
JawD
For frame I can recommend the place on the team valley. Also, if you get a photo of the player, they can include the shirt and photo in a frame with surround. Looks spot on. Ive had a few done like that now. CPL
Thanks for the comments guys, i want one similar to that. Might just go contact them now actually. Can i just check where did you go to get the extra large letters. EDIT: Doesn't the online club store do printing?

How would you recommend packaging the shirt? I reckon that you would have to send something for them to send you the shirt back in as well? Also who would you address it to? Just like, Alan Shearer, Newcastle United Football Club etc...? Might do that like.

Guest Bramble OG
Got the letters off a ebay seller, cant find the user name of him now sorry, not sure about the ones on that site but it says player size etc so could be right, I used a medium sized shirt which seems to fit the frame nicely! CPL
good website that just bought gazza's italia 90 shirt embroided Are the printings like felt?? or is it standard? My mate gave me an idea to get a signed photo rather than trying to get the shirt signed to save the hassle and then buy a separate frame for it. Abit like this http://www.sportmemorabilia.co.uk/shop/football/teams/nufc/shearerlastshirt.JPG
CPL
Little update i bidded on a shearer signed shirt on ebay... bidded 50.01 but got outbidded in last second... there was another one 10mins later i got it this time for 48.... difference was only that the signature was on the number. Anyway going to buy a frame but need a little fancy picture and writing at the bottom now... any ideas?
JawD
Aye, get the picture of him celebrating his recent goal against the Mackems. Why? because its likely to be his last ever goal for us. Or, you could get a pic of the 201st goal, though Id prefer the last goal.

CPL
Just recieved the shirt today. initially i thought the shirt was player issued one, but i read the advert again and it says it was a replica. To be honest it looks abit fake i'm not sure. I'll upload a picture tomorrow to show you.... the shearer shirt feels completely different feels more silk, to the replica i own which i bought from JJB, the nufc badge goes into the white stripe at the front and the adidas part looks abit dodgy as well. Guest chrisj
i asked for my england 1996 shirt to be re signed and this is the reply i got... Thank you for your enquiry regarding Alan Shearer signing an England shirt for you. If you would like to send the shirt to the below address including a self stamped addressed envelope and a brief note of what you would like on it we can ask Alan to sign it for you at his next signing session. The only problem there might be is that the items we get signed are to be personalised so I don't know if this will be a problem for you. We were advised form Alan's agent some time ago that items to be signed were to be personalised. Unfortunately we are unable to give exact dates for the return of items. Alan Shearer Newcastle United Football Club St James Park Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4ST Kind Regards, Claire Send it registered mail, then you know it will be insured.... CPL
Had a closer inspection tonight i think the guys screwed me... http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/5705/dsc019580xj.jpg http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/8328/dsc019593wb.jpg First image is the pic of my replica, if you look at the nufc badge the fake one is slightly to the right and although you can't see it clearly on the picture the sign with newcasle united at the bottom is in a darker shade of blue. http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/3865/dsc019608cl.jpg http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/2806/dsc019620nz.jpg This one clearly shows the adidas has been sewned on dodgy http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/1892/dsc019632bj.jpg http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/5624/dsc019647pi.jpg Finally this picture clearly shows that the northern rock sign is in a different shade http://i22.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/e1/d1/10_1_b.JPG http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/8937/dsc019650kl.jpg To take piss i don't think hes even sent me the one advertised on ebay as the first show shows the signanture doesn't go outside the number 9. I feel sick to death, what actions should i take? If i frame it though don't think it will make much difference as the back looks pretty good actually. I agree mate, sorry I think u'v been had. Genuine signed jerseys from reputable sellers usually go for 200-300 quid. I say get a refund and report the seller to ebay or to paypal (assuming u paid via paypal), oh and dont forget to leave some nasty remarks on his feedback. Ebay does noit need sellers like this guy. Either that or just frame it up anyway and pretend that its real, afterall not many of your friend will be able to tell the diff.
Guest MagicNumber9
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALAN-SHEARER-SIGNED-NEWCASTLE-UNITED-SHIRT_W0QQitemZ8797495095QQcategoryZ27289QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Henrysfootball his username? What do people think over this? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ALAN-SHEARER-Signed-NEWCASTLE-UNITED-No-9-Shirt-05-06_W0QQitemZ8799301343QQcategoryZ27289QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem seem genuine? Id love a signed no9 shirt by the man himself, and the chances of getting it signed face to face are slim. What do people think of the second link, do they look genuine? Dont want to pay £150 for a fake.
Guest Bramble OG
That one looks genuine, if you cant get one signed in person id go for the one in the 2nd link. As for the Henrysfootball seller its got to be fake looking at the feedback he's sold 5+ Ronaldinio signed shirts in the last week and has more listed by the likes of Rooney, Beckham,Owen, Etoo, Del piero, etc
