England B game ... well worth watching!

Recommended Posts

Stop the bickering why must there be bickerings in every thread? NE5 is not here I thought there will be world peace!

Few points I want to make after reading all posts:

1. Stewrt Downing is the best English left footed left winger I stand by my point. Joe Cole is a better player in that position but no on else is. Lennon does not do well here. Barry is not as good as Downing, and M. Taylor has not been selected thus far. Unless you count Milner. But Milner does not beat players and his crossing is not as good as Downing.

2. Saha is an excellent player who is injury prone. If he could be fit consistently Man U wouldn't have wanted Berbatov, a similar type of player, who is slightly better but costs a lot more.

3. Smith is a nothing player apart from his effort and nuisance. He took his goal well but apart from that he was largely unimpressive. Ok maybe I am too harsh he is a decent link up forward but nothing much more than that I think.

4. Why Phil Jagielka on right  back? Why Ledley King at DM? But I suppose it is a friendly and McLaren is entitled to tinker and experiemnt.

Saha is clearly a better striker than Smith. Is this even disputable?

Yes, Saha was a one season wonder at Fulham and is quite clearly gash.

Has scored a fair few for ManU in the few occasions he has been fit.

Excellent Excellent post. Agree with more or less everything you have said.

Did someone just say Milner doesn't beat his man? Are you on smack?

Whatever downfalls the lad has that really isn't one of them  its like saying Shay is a poor shot stopper or Owen isn't a very good finisher!

Should quiz him on his specialist subject, the Watford and Man Utd academies, it's like asking Bill Gates about computers.

tbf he does seem to know he's stuffed when someone asks him how much he has seen of these players he claims are at the same level or better than some Newcastle players.

It`s as if Milner is Pele all of a sudden... As far as I can remember is that he's got talent but trips over the ball, over runs the ball and puts shit crosses in more than the opposite of the aforementioned. Very good prospect and hopefully sam will polish this lads defects...

P.S. I do like Milner but a bit of overload going on!

Overload? Someone said Milner can't beat a player, thats complete bollocks, he does have a few sides of his game he really needs to work on but beating his man is something he often excels at!
