Guest fraser
Our title to lose now. As long as Sam doesn't buy a Colombian footballing genius, we're home and dry.

Astroblack
It's also pretty seeing how Obafemi is top scorer in the league.

Guest johnson293
That 4-0 home win against WestHam in 2002 comes to mind... last time we were top after day one surely. I watched that match while on holiday in Gran Canaria. We were in a bar, with a few fellow Geordies, and a load of scottish fans who strangely had decided to be adopted 'ammers for the night - giving it loads of **** about Shearer, and us being rubbish. 90 minutes and 4 goals later (one of which was scored by Big Al), and we had silenced them, and they trooped off looking rather sheepish!
