Jesus wept.
brings tears to the eyes doesn't it??
-
I always thought the Intertoto was a good start - competitive but not serious games whereas playing "friendlies" always seem pointless IMHO
-
the reason I was looking at 50 was so that we had some space - God help us if we're in the drop zone - we do TOTAL PANIC really well at SJP
-
Nowt like starting early eh?
say 50 points to survive/mid-table mediocrity
Home - lose against 4 of the top clubs, draw against another 3 = 12 wins + 3 draws = 39 points
Away - need 11 away points - 2 wins at the other promoted teams and 1 against this seasons dross, a draw at the Stadium of S**** = only need another draw to make 50 points :celb:
Of course I'm sure they'll give us Manure away for our first game
-
So would Forest - and W brom aren't going to spend either
-
too many accountants on this forum............. :knuppel2:
-
worse than Hillsborough - afterwards they found half the clubs in the league could suffer the same sort of problem - it's the main reason all the new grounds had to be built
-
Other clubs have loved seeing us -
firstly we're a BIG NAME and they don't see many of them ,
secondly we've looked like Champs from the off - nowt like style for impressing the lesser breeds -
thirdly our supporters are as legendary as they've heard - thousands of us - and we don't eat babies either
fourthly SJP - it just stuns first time visitors
The only whining I've heard from our fellow strugglers comes from that God forsaken dump that was used to film "Blade Runner"
-
must be Manager of the Year
to do that with the team he has AND the Phoney Pharoah above him....................
-
he's a great entertainer FFS you KNOW it'll be interestign - whereas Arsene just kills any enthusiasm with his delivery
Not bad for SBR's servant eh?
-
Calling him the next Crouch is an insult tbh.
I'd sue if I was him...............
-
It would work out - they'd never play the same dates as NUFC and people are so footie mad they'd get a few of our lot going there - taking the kids etc etc
-
aye - Scots football is in a death spiral - too many clubs, too few fans
-
When you look back at the state we were in early last summer and where we are now you have to give it Hughton - and some of the players for stepping up
We' even managed to escape the usual "TOON IN MELTDOWN" headlines when Carroll ran off the rails
Peace & quiet at SJP - for the first time in my 50 years of support - its MAGIC!!!
-
Asked for a weeks sub in advance last week apparently
the difficulties of living on £ 90k a week eh? :mackems:
-
The courts tend to take a hard view on this sort of thing.... prison is the normal sentence
-
what is a disgrace is that some of the smaller creditors might go bust but someone is "secured" on £ 14 million
-
There should be a proper public enquiry into this mess - and maybe legislation afterwards
-
hmmmmm - Mutu? - may be but the list is sooooo long
-
"Were the fences openable (is that a word) from the pitchside of the fence"
yes but not easyily I believe
if sommat goes wrong when there's a big crowd around 100 people will die - it happened at Ibrox, it happens every damn year on the Haj
-
We all know the coppers were partly to blame and they'll never admit it cos it might cost millions
-
Go talk to Mr Abramovitch - I'm sure he could solve the problem................... or knows a man who can
The blackmailers would be drinking polonium tea in no time if Abramovich was involved.
I think it would be a little more direct...................
-
aye the Times on Saturday devotes 8 pages to the PL and puts the other fixtures in tiny print at the back of the Sports Section............... nowt to do with Sky coverage of course.................
-
Us, the Baggies and County already promoted
tho I think County have had the more interesting season
