They're balls. The worst thing they did was bring in a catenaccio-style manager. Grinding out results is nee way to make friends when you're sitting on piles of cash. It's like that bloke in the pub who every knows is loaded but never buys a round and counts his pennies out on the bar.
funnily enough THEY WANT TO WIN SOMMAT
as opposed to being popular or attractive - like us
-
lets hope he's as good as he was before he was injured..................
-
where's the money coming from???
-
An Italian one
-
The time to drop him is if he does that again. I think he'll learn from it though, it's gone now, I reckon he'll have a good game tomorrow.
exactly - keepers don't play well if they think they're going to be judged on every performance
-
aye - they never look that good and the meeja are always playing up their problems but they are sailing along - well on course for the CL next year and even a shot at the top shot
-
I wish he'd pop up in Teeside or soemwhere else............
-
given the fact we had a load of games pulled last weekend and the Scots are looking at a winter break a Jan WC isn't totally crazy................
-
If you are going to Brum watch out - they are by far the nastiest bunch of supporters in that God forsaken city
-
Stuck in Manchester, weather like this, dark between Nov-Feb, your team mates dressed in snoods........
and you ask why he wants away?
hell, so do I.........................

The McKeags were small time local solicitors who used to have an office at the city end of Jesmond Road - there was very little gentlemanly about their behaviour - i don't think the old man ever put a cent into the Club
Lord Westwood looked the part but when asked to sign a guarantee in the early 80's for about £16k he resigned - it was a lot of money then - say £ £50k today but given what he and his old man had taken out over the years it was a bloody disgrace
-
got the Leeming Bar case to come 'n aalll
-
In my time I'd go
McKeag Snr
Ashley
FFS
McKeag Jnr
on th owner front
-
Westwood / Seymour / Mckeag were hated back in the day......
And Seymour started out as a hero 'n aalll

I f everyone gets a vote it won't improve our chances - it will be like the UN - and they'll certainly insist on rotation - probably 100 countries would liek to host a world cup so that means we're on for 2410
-
Qatar's bid for 2022 looks dead in the water. FIFA weren't overly impressed with their idea of building temporary stadia.
another Mystic Meg here
-
i'd also like to see the press go after the corruption in fifa regardless of the outcome of the vote.
whoops.........................
-
I hope we are not going to get the usual media cry that we missed out because the rest of the world is corrupt or no one likes us etc.
It will sound like sour grapes and makes us look like a bunch of whingers if we go down that road.
Britain won the bid for the Olympics, the rugby world cup is coming here in 2015 and we get major football matches and big events staged here in every thing from motor racing to golf.
There are 200 countries or so in the rest of the world, we get our share of the big tournaments.
We are a relatively small country and so we can't expect to get everything.
bang on - we knew the rules and who was voting when we went in for it
-
Shepherd was right. Their shithole wasn't fit to stage the tie. 2 turnstiles for approximately 2000 away fans was a joke which led to hundreds not getting in until well into the match thus missing Shearer's goal.
Fat Fred did enormous damage to our reputation with his actions
At least we learnt the lesson and when we played Yeading we treat them properly - slagging off a non-league team 'cos it has a grotty ground is just ridiculous

"one word of truth outweighs the whole world"

aaahhh blame him - aa do!

"It would be a massive boost to the local economy and could help create much needed jobs here"
What new jobs?
A couple of midweek games at SJP and the SoS???
The tickets will be sold to local punters and the cash goes straight to FIFA in Zurich
Maybe hotels in Newcastle may be able to hike their rates up on a couple of nights and BA and the train people will gut anyone booking a trip to-from London on those days but I doubt we'd get owt else
All studies about the so-called benefits of sporting fixtures and new grounds show very little benefit
In fact a lot of non-interested people steer clear - as we'll see in Olympic Year
-
Hereford away - and we beat them 26-0
that'll stop them showing those damn goals from the 70's
-
I reckon about halfway for the bottom - the top is set from game 8

A few years back Reading were in their 2nd PL season - according to the lads I know Madejski offered the manager £ 7 mm in the transfer window but he reckoned they could muddle through from their mid table position - and they didn't
