If they're willing to sell him now for £30m (inevitably paid over 5-6 years anyway) then what's the difference between that and us paying £5m loan fee now with option to buy at £25m at the end of the season? Might be worth more than £30m at the end of the season Aye but they're perfectly happy to sell now for £30m apparently. If they just weren't willing to sell now and only willing to loan in the hope of his price rising I could understand it, but not in this case.
