Who at the club thought Nile Ranger would make it at this level? I know he's been thrown in far too early, because of our policy of not spending money on decent strikers, but I've seen much better strikers week in week out at championship level. Am I missing something with him?

Needs a season in the championship like AC had. Ranger wouldn't cope in the championship. He'd go missing. At least Carroll was a battler. Carroll and Ameobi were both awful when they were on loan in the Championship. I know, but Carroll gained from it. It certainly toughened him up (learnt how to fight with centre backs anyway )

Yep, I'd take 17th now. The way to survive in this league (in any league) is with your strikers. I can't even call the guys we have up front strikers.

yeah but if smith goes that's another body in the squad that needs replacing, as is routledge and xisco it's hardly like we were overstocked in the first place Overstocked no but we have enough CM's surely even without Smith.. Xisco never plays anyway so he is no miss but get shot and we save another wage that can go on a player we will use. Routledge will probably return. Nope, he won't.

This is the worst january window for us that I can remember. I honestly can't believe we're going to attempt to stay in this league with Shola, Ranger, Best and Lovenshite. I'd have been scared of seeing those 4 clowns in the championship.
