I think we have to be careful with players like Hyypia. Players who have been at one club for a very long time often struggle when they go to a new club where they have to deal different methods, teamates and surroundings, it can often take a long time for them to settle in.

"Fenerbahce" have for some reason signed him, he has had a press conference with about 50 microphones in front of him like he is some superstar. This is for a player who cost Sheffield United 100k from Brighton and scored one goal in 27 games in the premiership last year.

What's the betting he won't score a goal and we will be back in the lower leagues of English football within 12 months.

Just looking at that pic on the Man City website I'm asking myself just what have we let ourselves in for?

I look at our squad and I see us as having the sixth strongest in the league that is under some assumption that reasonable defensive cover will be bought in. If we don't have major injury problems anything less than 8th would be a disappointment.  Villa, Reading, Bolton, Pompey and even Everton are stacked full of average players.

Well he missed about a third of the season through injury and played most of his games on the left, Arsenal are pretty lost without him in the team though.

He is acutually 5.7, his Morrissey quiff adds about 2 inches to his height.

Out of Shorey and Baines, I'd go for the latter as he has far more natural ability. Shorey is solid enough but is a pretty limited player, what you saw against Brazil is about all your going to get with him.
