  1. With Carver and Stone in charge, he'll be nowhere near the first team. It would take a new manager to come in to see him in playing for us again.

    Dan Gosling

I think he'll do well in the Championship. Michael Brown managed over 20 goals a few seasons ago so I don't see any reason why Gosling can't get at least half of that. Always seems to find himself in a position to score, a bit more composure and he could have a couple this season in his limited appearances. Good signing for Bournemouth.
  4. Gosling is capable of getting 12+ goals a season from midfield.... in a championship team. Movement is definetly there.
  5. Can hold it against him personally, always a trier, but it's down to our own failings in the summer that we're forced to be playing him in games like this.
  6. The criticism is justified, but writing him off isn't. He is a player of real potential, but what he has done so far has been disappointing.
  7. I'm not sure today was the best day to have him in at left back. Thankfully Valencia didn't start, otherwise it could have been pretty horrific. He will have far more joy on the wing than Ben Arfa will do though.
  8. A slow start, he looks very nervous when he is on the ball.
  9. Owen on loan until the end of the season?
  10. That is a post shocking enough to bring me out of a two year retirement. Dyer was the most overated player we had in the 00's. He dribbling ability consisted of occasionally being able to carry the ball 10 yards and then passing it off. He was exceptionally quick and had decent movement, but no discernible talent with the ball whatsoever. He lived off this inflated reputation he earned back in 2001/01 for years; without delivering anything of note. People talked about Robert / Solano being lightweight and going missing, but this guy did it a hell of a lot in the centre. At least those two actually had a final end product. Good riddance to a player who got away with so much, and delivered so little.

  12. Looks more like a post that's been lifted of RAWK more than anything! "and at Anfield Pepe Reina was hardly tested outside the two goals" oops, just the issue of the two goals then.
  13. Without wanting to get into trouble, has SBR suffered a Michael Jackson like skin color change recently. It just doesn't look right. Unless you were right next to it, you wouldn't have a clue who it was. Looks like he is made out of chocolate. Could have been an extra on the lynx advert.
  14. Not as bad as this one http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=37518.0
  15. It's certainly not a given that he won't be able to recover from this, sure it's bad but we've injuries just as bad as this before and they almost always come back. The issue probably isn't with the bone, they heal pretty easily, more worry would be over the ligament, tendon and nerve damage.
  16. beat me to it by 12 seconds there.
  17. He's been at Uni for the past 3 years by the looks of it.
  18. James deserves to be 1 on his current form. Hart is still miles away from being the best English keeper, he certainly has the potential but he is very raw.

    FA Cup 5th Round

Hoyte, Traore, Bendtner, Gilberto and Eboue are pretty poor relations to the first teamers they are replacing.
  20. Depends on what you value more, competitiveness or quality. The Championship is a indeed a really competitive league, but it's light years behind the Premiership in terms of the football being played now.
