Sounds like St. James' Park.

Barry Moat was a PR stunt by Mike Ashley not a time waster.

Not a striker according to Wiki.

That's just the David Conn Guardian article republished.

More drivel spouted by NUFC insiders designed to force Staveley into bidding more. The article from last should have put an end to all the journalists who were saying there were no 2nd bidder etc in their stories and tweets and made people realise that their inside sources were people spitting shot on behalf of Ashley. Douglas is just another moron from NCJ Media who lives off the s*** Ashley feeds him. You're an idiot. You saying you believe him? Not necessarily. no. But I fundamentally disagree with this line "Douglas is just another moron from NCJ Media who lives off the s*** Ashley feeds him." because it is simply not true.

I disagree, having watched Josh last night they are quite different in their styles and mannerisms.

Decision to use it overturned on VAR.

Only in the League Cup.

There is no checking by the ref or formal appeals, the VAR checks everything and then talks to the referee. Eh? The ref can request a check (which he did on the non-pen decision in this match) and there's a monitor at the side if the VAR panel at the side of the pitch for the ref to check again, they showed it before the match in which it was introduced. No. The referee can't stop and ask. The VAR does the checking and tells the referee what's going on. The referee can then go and look at the screen if he's not certain with what the VAR is saying or wants to look at it. So the ref that I've just watched talking with the VAR panel was interrupted by the VAR panel who then reviewed it and said his decision was fine. Okay. The review screen is semantics really, they're checking it again. The VAR is in a studio with multiple screens reviewing everything, if he sees a clear and obvious error that is related to to any of the following he tells the referee in his ear, if there is a break in play after an incident then he well tell the referee to wait while he looks at it, the referee then has the option to view it on a screen at the side of the pitch if he wants to before decided what to do, or he can trust what the VAR says: • Awarding goals • Penalty decisions • Straight red cards (not second yellow cards) • Cases of mistaken identity

Probably just speaking to his assistant as all 5 are mic'd up No, the referee putting his hand to his head is a signal he is speaking to the VAR. Doesn't do that when speaking to the others.
-
The commentator got it wrong I think, there was a tentative pen claim at the same time which I think is what the VAR checked.
-
Morata thinking he's playing Test cricket asking for a DRS review!

Never a penalty, it didn't impede him at all and he planted both feet into the ground after then hoyed himself to the floor.
