  1. Who? Pearce? My apologies, I didn't realise I had to specify I was talking about the guy the thread is named after. A slightly interesting response. Since you mention the start of the thread how exactly is your reply a coherent response to the question asked in that first post? You do understand the question that was asked by Baggio, don't you? You don't have to do fĂșck all, by the way. Frankly I'd rather you did nowt and didn't bother posting if all you can manage is sarcasm.
  2. Yea he is getting alot of shit, TBH if anyone is to blame then it should be Roeder. Everyone on here knows Babs aint good enough yet all he got in the transfer market was Bernard on a freebie. Few times he has played in his proper position (CB) he has been decent. He is better at CB, but that doesn't mean he's good enough. That is a fair comment. And I wasn't saying he was good enough. All I was saying is that he hasn't been in the first team picture for long, and many players can be late developers. Sometimes it only takes a click in the mind to turn someone from an average/mediocre player to a solid decent one. I believe (or hope) this will be the case with Ramage. Now if we're talking top 4 or 5...yeah that he's not at the moment. But it's still no reason in my opinion to lay into the lad at every opportunity like some people do. That's a fair comment too. But he's a liability at LB, imo.
  3. What do people think of this? 3 months ago I would have been happy to see the back of him but he's performed well when we've needed him this season. If we let him go it will be like letting Bowyer go. We don't have an adequate replacement for his specific role.
  4. Notice he dosen't say anything about Butt's shite passing. I was actually gonna say how awful Butt's passing is. Its woeful at best. With Parker i think you either love him or hate him. The people who hate him will not give him any credit whatsoever. When he has a great game, and MacDoland has no chance of saying anything bad about him, he will keep his mouth shut rather than give him credit. He was ****ing loving it when Parker had that incident with a few fans the other week. Personally Parker is my favourite player and i think he is superb. I'm can't be arsed with an argument about it, because these debates come up all of the time but he is definitely my favourite player. I think 95% of toon fans love him. Thought maybe I should mention I don't hate him. I don't know him. Unlilke you I have no favourites, I just want the team to do well and the team does better without Parker. Little kids have favourite players ahead of the team. My position is that I don't think he's anywhere near as good as some make him out to be. Is that ok, like? Hatred doesn't come into it.

  6. Are you kidding? He's 23! Still a child in development terms. When did he come into the first team? Point is...play him at CB for a run of games, and then decide By the time Ramage finally made it to the first team most players who turn out any good have already been playing in their club's first team for a few seasons. Taking so long to get a shot at it is another pointer to him not being good enough. The fact is, if we have ambitions of getting back into the top 4 or 5 Ramage isn't good enough and more than likely never will be.
  7. Who else is slating him? Thought it was only me and Cobh. Anyway, he wasn't superb last season. He's never been superb at any time in his career. One decent season at Charlton and that's the sum of it. Quite a few still going with the shite combo of Parker/Emre..... bluelaugh.gif
  8. Parker's passing is closer to bad than average, imo. He'll never be a top player, or in fact even good enough for where we want to be. He came on last night and almost the first thing he did was slow down an attack by turning full circle for no apparent reason. He's slowly but surely getting on my nerves and is fast becoming one of the most over-rated players I've ever seen play for Newcastle. Like Jeenarse, I hope the hype about him pulls the wool over someone's eyes and he moves on in January. The team will improve without him, as it did during the latter stages of last season when he was out of the side.
  9. The two holding midfielders is a good idea, but they need a good range of passing, which again is something Parker lacks totally. I think you also need 2 good attacking fullbacks and we don't have that unless Solano can do a permanent job at RB. The LB though is a joke with Ramage there.
  10. Not touchy, and I know it's light-hearted, but I seriously don't recall ever saying that I think he's a central midfielder, just that he thinks he is. I do recall posting that I think he could ultimately play in an Henry type role, but that's it.
  11. Yup. Couldn't agree more. Zog needs to be on the left, not in the centre, and he does play better with a reasonable LB in the side rather than a totally shite one. You've changed your tune, pleased you've come round to my way of thinking about N'Zogbia's best position though Explain, Alex...... You used to say you saw N'Zogbia as a central rather than a wide player. It was a while ago like. The lad said the same thing himself. Just a light-hearted comment like. Errr no. The lad himself said it and I posted about it, that's all. What I think is that he has the potential to be a striker in the Henry type mould.

  14. Yep. And to think, another 6-10 weeks of him or Babayaro. A choice between Ramage and Babayaro at LB is a no-brainer. Babayaro is a far superior player compared to Ramage.
  15. Well,I agree that N'Zogbia was bad as well yesterday.I dont know what happened to him this season, but I thought he had a wonderful time last season as compared to this.I just hope he would regain that form back. He's a young player. It happens.
  16. I'd go for it with Solano at RB. He's got plenty of experience in that role. The biggest problem is Ramage at LB. Totally out of his depth at this level of the game.
  17. You see, I've never got this one. If he's flying in training but playing sh*t in the first-team , why should he play? I could imagine part of Luque's problem is seeing players in the first-team performing sh*te on a weekend, but because he runs quicker around a few cones, continues to gets selected. It's about attitude, not the speed someone runs around a cone. As you say, you've never got that one so I don't suppose you'll get it now.
  18. It could be merged, but the poll is should be binned. It's a load of shite and typical of Vicki, like.
  19. Not according to certain soopafans he doesn't, they saw everything they needed to see the moment he didn't score a hatrick in his first game. You have to understand that some people can judge a player instantly. They don't need knowledge or logic of course, they only need to hear there nearest thick drunk gobshite shouting about lazy spaniards and they just know...... Sheep the lot of them Jesus, you don't half talk shit. Soopafans? What are you on about? If you mean people that actually have to pay money to suffer this feckless cockend then that's not soopafans, that's just plain old fans. If you think that in a relegation battle we can afford to put someone who doesn't give a **** in for 4 or 5 games just to see what he's like, then you haven't got a clue. No one's on about him not scoring a hat trick - that's a lazy argument designed to divert attention away from how shite the lad has been. We don't expect hat tricks, we expect and demand some effort, and we're getting none. So he can **** off. I've noticed a definite improvement in your writing style in recent times Gemmill, particularly when you post about Luque. Good stuff. And true, which is the main thing.
  20. </insertexpletives> 3 games would be fine when he hasn't even had two. The club can't afford to give this bloke a run of games just for the sake of it. He's got to prove to the manager that he's worthy of a run. That's the bottom line. There is too much at stake.
  21. Yet another stupid poll. To think you slag me for my posts. What a joke that is. Anyway, Luque doesn't need 3 games, he needs 10 no matter what. His rent-boys have made that clear, seems you can't read.
  22. What do you expect him to say, like? "The club is shit, nobody wants to buy and I'm desperate to sell. Here it is for a fiver". The club lost out when Souness effectively did that with players he didn't want. He's talking the club up, why should he do anything different? Doh! I wasnt saying he was doing the right or wrong thing just that he sounds like a Idiot(again)!! But comon, Everyone one wants to buy us?..just like everyone wanted to manage us....We''ll end up with a souness/roeder equivalent takeover, Maybe a Butlins or a Aldi/netto attached to the side of SJP That's impossible from what I've read on here. We can only be taken over by some group that is better.
