  1. In that case why is your tripe still there, Chris? What do photo's of the ground, put up in the context of a potential future development, have to do with a topic that is titled... " Stadium development proposals that never happened??" Don't you understand the difference between the past and the future, or are you happy for the original thread subject to move off-topic to another topic just so long as you agree with it ? You're beyond belief. Bring back the old grassroots, even though you fucked up nufc.nu. Whatever happened to your plans, eh?
  2. :lazy: Wonder if grass will delete your fucking useless post.
  3. Dave - What's that got to do with "proposals for a new stadium that never happened", mate? Mind you, am I allowed to say I agree with you and that the grass won't grow? I didn't read most of the thread, I just looked at Grassroot's mock-ups and decided to comment. Whenever people say 'that looks great' i'm not sure i've ever seen anyone make the point that building those stands would mean there was little or no light or air movement getting onto the pitch. Considering the problems we've had before with a shit pitch it would be nigh-on impossible to maintain. As I said, I agree with you, the grass wouldn't grow. Thing is, I'm not allowed to say that had we done what we should have done and relocated to a larger stadium for less money, it could have been designed from scratch in such a way that the grass would grow. It's actually an important point, the quality of the pitch is vital, as we've seen since SJP has been extended as it's cost us when it's been shit.
  4. Solano or Moore. I'd prefer someone who I'd like to see in the team every week. Not that it matter that much anyway, what we really need are a few natural leaders across all areas of the pitch, the actual captain doesn't matter in the slightest. Gary Speed was our best leader on the pitch throughout the time Shearer was the actual captain.
  5. Assuming that for some daft reason a topic is supposed to stay rigidly on topic throughout, why have you just taken this thread off topic with your moaning paragraph above? Or is the irony lost on you, mate?
  6. I've never been a regular at league matches away from home, although I will be from next season. What this means is that when judging the performance of a player I'm going to take more notice of the opinion of someone who was at that away match than I am the opinion of someone who wasn't. The implication of this is obvious. When it comes to making a judgement of a player I believe there is more information on which to base that judgement available to people who go to the match than to those who don't. Q. Why do people think managers are slated when it turns out that a shite player was signed based on a video? Q. Why do peoople think clubs take the trouble to send scouts to watch matches 'live', to assess opposing teams and players? Do they do these things even though, according to some of you, they could put their feet up in front of the TV and get all this information at the flick of a switch? By the way, I've even seen player ratings on this forum based on radio coverage. How daft is that? Cheers
  7. Let's break that post down by NM. 1 Roeder was tasked with fixing the massive mistakes of Souness - 2 who certain people on this Board wanted to stay!!! - 3 and he did so very well. 4 In doing so, he largely overlooked Luque. 5 That was clearly his choice, 6and bearing in mind what he achieved, we have to support him in that. 7 We don't know why Luque isn't getting played. None of us do. 8 But based on what we've seen on the pitch, he's not particularly been worth playing any further. 9 He hasn't been a good buy, tough shit. 10 Lets move on and get someone on with the DESIRE to play, 11 as well as aibility. 12 Someone like BEllamy......oh, dear..... I agree with all 12 points there, can't believe someone agrees ONLY with point #12.
  8. Given what we've seen of him on the field of play it's a credible idea that he shows a lack of application behind the scenes. Since you and others dismiss the idea so easily I'll ask the question again that I've asked before. Why do you believe Roeder is not selecting Luque if he as good as you and others claim he is? Cheers We've been through this havent we HTL? When u asked the last time I said it could be because Roeder wanted to save him for next season and give him a full preseason to adapt to the EPL. I also said that, that theory was more supportive of our own player instead of assuming the worst "he must be crap in training" theory that you come out with, despite Roeder himself saying numerous times that Luque has trained well. Your response if I remember correctly was that you dont give a crap what my theory was or whether it was more supportive, and here you are again asking the same question and pretending like nobody has answered you. Not sure why I bother replying to your posts, tbh, so this is the last time. Your deliberate misrepresentation by ignoring the context of my reply to your earlier post on this does you no favours. The link to it is below to refresh your memory. The reason I said I don't care whether your idea is *better* ( note the word 'better', not 'crap' ) is because I'm more interested in how players perform for the team than whether an idea is better or not. Think about it. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php/topic,19142.msg356448.html#msg356448 It still makes no sense to save a fit, so-called 'top' player for next season when the alternatives are proven to be average players at best.

  10. Average ability + application and desire to play for the club = earned consideration for selection on matchday. Supposed greater ability - application and desire to play for the club = hasn't earned consideration for selection on matchday. What a surprise that the usual suspects don't understand that ability means nothing when there is no desire to play for the club. Cheers
  11. No surprise that Shearer is spouting off yet more shite.
