  1. Ok, I'll reply seriously.........don't know why I'm bothering though as I know you won't read it properly. An easy refuge and one you now take regularly. I don't claim and never have claimed to know more than anyone else, I have opinions from the outside, like everyone else on here. Yes, some do. As someone regularly on the receiving end of abuse on here for posting my opinion ( "Jenas being shite", "Ameobi being shite", "Bellamy being good", "we'll miss Robert when he goes", "Souness being shite", "Shearer should have gone after we finished 3rd" etc etc) I know full well what you mean. All of those opinions in brackets went against the general opinion at the time and brought all kinds of abuse my way. Hence my comments in response and the way I generally post now. Even though we often disagreed I did have some respect for you because you used to be able to debate properly. Now you merely lie. It's a bit of a surprise to me, honestly. And not a good thing for a school teacher, it's not a good example.
  2. Good post, Fox - I reckon this is dragging on for too long. For what its worth, Hamman(the only one worth commenting on , since he departed in the last 10 years) said, after he left , that ; 'The Board was average, so the Club was average' , but confirmed that he had actually enjoyed living in the NE and travelling round the area. He didn't get on with Gullit, either. The others departed over 10 years ago - Gazza was the last local lad of any significance to leave, and that was in 1988. Personally, I think we should only be considering events that happened since the Hall/Shepherd takeover in 1992. Every supporter wants the club to WIN THINGS - at least, that should be the object of the exercise, as it is only by doing that that the club will develop as it should. Not being funny, but if you are so sure it is right not to consider Boards of pre-1992 do you believe it is impossible that a replacement for the current Board could be like those of pre-1992 going back decades? That's a serious question.
  3. I'll back Ozzie on some things and not on others, I'll probably back you on some and not on others, like I did with Souness but not Shepherd, that's normal. you can comment on the bold bit if you like. As well as tell us why Gordon Lee and Arthur Cox left Newcastle, leading to relegation and the sale of our 3 locally born England players As you are a long term supporter - cough cough - you should know the answer. Gordon Lee left because he said he wanted to be closer to his family who were still living in the North West, you should remember that. Arthur Cox left because he didn't think that the board were backing him enough, I've answered both before. Our 3 locally born England players were sold because they wanted to leave, the same as when Hamann was sold to Liverpool because he wanted to leave. What's the significance of these three locally born players who probably watched Newcastle as much as Hamann before any of them signed? Is it that one was a mackem? Is it that one hardly ever watched Newcastle before he signed? Why did those 3 players want to leave? Why did the Jorman want to leave? The reasons aren't the same, as any long term supporter knows. Which means you're well and truly knackered on that one.
  4. Oh dear, you've missed the point. I was parodying you banging on childishly about your computers. Sorry for the misunderstanding. In future I'll t y p e m o r e s l o w l y and try to make my jokes a bit more obvious for you. I thought you were Neil, hence the references to nobs. Now I'm not so sure. I don't think even Neil, fool though he is, would have walked straight into that one. You must be the most stupid person on this forum.
  5. No, I prefer teams which are not struggling and getting relegated, that's why I always felt that appointing Souness was so obviously going to end in tears, Roeder could go the same way but I don't think he's dropped to that level yet. I'm not happy to settle for a chairman who is taking us backwards, its you who is settling for struggling and the possibility of relegation. but you are backing Ozzie who backed Souness I am pleased you are not happy to be playing in europe with all the other leading clubs in the country. Can't imagine what your reaction would be if we were one of those shit clubs with shit boards that never play in europe, sell their best players and consistently fight relegation or go down. He doesn't know it ever happened. He lied about being there.
  6. Take your time when reading this. Take time out and get medical advice, first you don't see comments from people which you later put down to having a PC which out-dates electricity, then you see my support for Souness which has never been seen before, by anybody else although I'm sure NE5 will back you up. You have some sort of problem, it's probably a medical condition but it would be worth getting a second opinion and the relevant treatment. Eh? You know how old my computers are? Listen Mick, give me your address and I'll GIVE you a computer for FREE that is only 3 years old. It's sitting in my garage right now with a big 19" monitor as well. That will still leave me with THREE home computers that are all under 6 months old. I'll even throw in the mouse, keyboard and speakers. My computers are newer than your computers. Nyah nyah nyah-nyah nyaaah!! Yes, very mature. What? Do I give a shit that your computers are newer than mine, millions of people have computers newer than mine and according to Mick, some have them dating back to pre-electricity days, which means even more people have newer one's than that. If you want to know why people are on about the age of their computer talk to your idiot mate.

  8. Nothing changes where you're concerned. We play shit, you make a critical post. We play well, you post it's a one off, that the opponents were crap. Whatever you can think of to put the performance down. From your posts at the time it was obvious you found it galling when Robson had us finishing 4th, 3rd and 5th, although you'll deny it now and you'll rely on people who weren't around at that time to think I'm making it up. Some of us know who is telling the truth here though. If you can read then you will know that my views on the 2 questions you've asked have already been answered many times before. The first question is stupid, tbh. By your own admission over the last few years of reading your posts, you believe Keegan was a shite manager and the team he produced was shite, so the real question is do YOU think the performances have been maintained since Keegan? They're pretty shite now so you probably think they have. Don't do that. You are falling into the NE5 trap of making up another person's view and then criticising them for it. It would be good if some had the guts to admit they got it wrong by supporting Souness long after such support should have disappeared. Who knows, had there been no support for him sooner the Board may have sacked him before he'd wasted £50m, as I predicted and was slated for as usual. I did say I didn't want him given any money during that very first transfer window and the responses were along the lines of the responses I'll no doubt get to this post. This is the most disingenious part of either your's or NE5's argument. Trying to demolish someone else's argument by saying that they supported the team manager appointed, and backed, by Shepherd. Now you are even sugegsting that if more people had had a go at Souness earlier the chairman may have done something about it earlier !! Is that really the leadership you expect from our chairman ? The key part of the chairman's job is to ensure that he has the correct person as team manager. You seem to suggest that these decisions are only taken when the crow do tell the chairman what to do and when. This matches up with Shepherd saying 'the fans' wanted Roeder. My mother could do that. If it really is down to listening to phone-ins, reading chat-sites to decide whether to sack a manager, and who to replace him with then seriously even NE5 could do that. Yes even him. Although only if my mother turned it down. I would guess he would be able to do it for mebbe half of the £500,000 the club pay Shepherd. Why do you keep quoting people's posts and writing nowt of your own? Is the blue text yours? Blue text? You're making assumptions, the sign of an idiot. There is no blue text displayed in my browser. No doubt you think everyone uses the same settings on their PC, a quite stupid assumption to make and a pretty basic error on the part of the person posting. bluesleep.gif No, I'm not falling into any trap mate by making that accusation earlier. I read the posts from John on a forum different to this one. He knows it, anyone else who read that forum knows it. It's pathetic that he's denying it now. By the way, football club Board's are influenced by the reaction of supporters. To believe otherwise is a bit daft, mate. Had there been less support for Souness my opinion is he'd have been booted earlier. In any event, that isn't the point, the point is that the people who are slagging Fred for appointing Souness and giving him time would have also slated Fred relentlessly had he sacked him back when I wanted him sacked. That much was obvious from the reaction toward me at the time I advocated sacking the bastard. For me, that is called double standards and reeks of "damned if they do, damned if they don't".
  9. because they've not seen a shite one ? Agreed. Don't expect them to get it. The only way they'll get it is when the club returns to those days. Then they'll all deny they slated Fred, which is par for the course given the lies about their support for Souness.
  10. I hate to have to tell you this sonny, but anything I throw out would probably be an upgrade for the likes of you. Sorry, like.

  12. Mmm. Cutting! I do recomend running your reply through the grammar check first if you're going to respond with an unfounded implication of higher intelligence on your part, old chap. When faced with something you have no answer to you resort to highlighting a spelling error. Sums you up.
  13. Yes, it's clearly support from you and NE5 that sustains the wonderful regime that is giving us all the great football, glorious victories and thrilling Intertoto nights that we are so profoundly fortunate to be enduring today. Get on with the nob rants, you were funny then.

  15. I do support a good club. Otherwise I wouldn't bother arguing. I don't support those I think are selling it short. Fair enough. Just be careful what you wish for, as there are degrees of 'selling it short' that your ignorance makes you unaware of and your lack of intelligence prevents you from even trying to appreciate.
  16. Expand on the bit in bold, are you referring to me? Are you saying that the supporters are to blame for Shepherd allowing Souness to spend £50 million? My guess is that Shepherd allowed him to spend that much as an attempt to save face, Shepherds face. He appointed rubbish and didn't want to admit to it. As far as Roeder goes, what qualifies him to become Newcastle manager? Do you believe that the support ( or lack of ) of the fans of a manager goes unnoticed by the Board? Doh!
  17. Head up arse again.....talk about tunnel vision. Pathetic.

By your own admission over the last few years of reading your posts, you believe Keegan was a shite manager and the team he produced was shite, so the real question is do YOU think the performances have been maintained since Keegan? They're pretty shite now so you probably think they have. For the record. I think the performance of the team has been generally good up until the huge error of Souness, which is what has caused where we are today and the type of posts I see on this forum. There were reasons for appointing Souness, reasons that I recall many people being supportive of including you ( ie players going off the rails and having no respect for the manager ) at the time, but like others you have conveniently forgotten now. It would be good if some had the guts to admit they got it wrong by supporting Souness long after such support should have disappeared. Who knows, had there been no support for him sooner the Board may have sacked him before he'd wasted £50m, as I predicted and was slated for as usual. 19. Other also-rans have at one time or another. The irony... As you asked, as Europe is apparently the golden criteria for you - Fulham finished 13th, qualified via the Intertoto. 2002 wasn't it? Southampton came 8th and qualified via finishing via a cup final (yes, we did that, I know - great that we're up with the Southamptons of this world). Boro won the League cup and qualified via that, despite finishing 11th. Since more European places were awarded to England more clubs have got in by the back door; European places have been shuffled along since UEFA started milking their cash cow for more than it's worth. No, it was wondering what the relevance was, which is why I used the word 'relevance'. Something about ancient history I think it was. Nice change. They've got stuff sewn up so tight now though, they could take the same amount out via leasing warehouses to themselves three times over and we wouldn't bloody know. You think incompetence should be rewarded? Wow, you should start up a company, I'll be first to sign up for you. They compete as high as they have to to maintain profitability. Hooray. I think it's interesting that some of those things you mentioned, Arsenal have done in recent times - 30000-odd crowd, selling players, but they manage to compete just fine. Can we have a Wenger please. It's true - after all the trophies we've won in the last 10 years, I fully expect us to keep winning the same amount of them! As you think we're so bad why don't you bugger off and support a good club? Serious question, given that I witnessed with my own eyes what happens when a club is really shit.
  20. Tough talk from the southern soft shite primary school teacher...... You can't intimidate me like you do a young kiddie. Seen southampton more than Newcastle........
  21. What would you know of the performances of the club at any time in it's history? Have you honestly EVER been to a match, other than when Newcastle played away to your club, Southampton?
  22. Coming from someone who thinks that somebody who supports Souness is worse than the man who appoints him. Also coming from someone who thinks that Ellis is shite and Shepherd isn't although Villa have finished above us more than we have them under Shepherd. @ NE5. It's a sign of maturity to admit it when you're wrong, assuming you haven't convinced yourself that you were actually against Souness for ages. We all know that FS and the Board are the people in power, however, the voice of supporters does mean something. By supporting Souness for so long beyond the time he should have lost all support goes some of the way to keeping the wanker in the job for so long. Ironic that Roeder is attracting such a lack of support on here so quickly from those who supported the clubs worst ever manager for so long.....you know who you are although you can deny it all you like. Fools.
  23. gay.gif What's a southampton supporter doing giving a shite about Newcastle?
  24. Macbeth's way of running a football club would take it to ruin, as previous Board's of Newcastle nearly did. His support of Crozier, despite the shite football decisions made by Crozier, tell me all I need to know about what macbeth wants from a football club. He's a money first man, he would sell the soul of the football club and the support with it such is his obsession with the balance sheet. As for Mick, the posts just get more ridiculous each time. Cheers
